It's very sad how quickly diabetes can take a life. One minute your friend is kinda drowsy the next hour they're dead.

I kindly ask that anybody who knows a diabetic to look after them, pay attention to how they are feeling. (I am in no way implying that people were not doing so with Andy) I know from experience that this disease can take someone out devastatingly fast. The more we recognize the signs the better we can help. We may even be able to save some lives.

    R.I.P. Andy

My condolences to his friends and family.

Way too young, way too soon. My thoughts go out to his family and I hope PJ can remember him at a show and play a song for him.

My mum is diabetic and it just plain sucks :(
  • I'm absolutely gutted about this news.

I spoke to Andy quite alot via msn and text when I first joined the Pit and towards the end of last year. He was a good friend and always popping up to say hello or to ask some advice. My last conversation with him involved huge excitement and a mention of certain East coast PJ tickets...

He really was a sweetheart with many a witty quip during our games of PJ song vs song and always talked me down from my high horse about Better Man. He doted on his mum and girlfriend, who i'm sure, are now feeling the loss of something that can never be replaced.

Andy, like most of us, loved PJ. Really loved PJ. His love for Low Light saw me rediscovering my love for Yield and 'lets compare stick man tattoos' was always a fun past time... til he pulled his Nothingman trump tattoo out the bag...

I never got to meet Andy but will remember him with fond memories - someone who shared my love for PJ, someone who many an hour kept me entertained at work and someone who loved his Mum. 20 years on this earth is nothing, he was a baby and left us far too early.

I know he's still gonna be there on the East Coast... rocking out like he was supposed to.

    For Mol.Cameron... for Andy:

    RIP x
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
  • So young. So tragic. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
