  • That was the last PJ show I've been to (Financially unable to make it to any subsequent shows), and I gotta say, definitely not the best show I'd ever been to despite a great setlist and some great moments.

Don't get me wrong, even a subpar show is still better than most other bands, but after seven shows, you get spoiled.

What stands out about that show with me was that I ended up sharing a room with some people I met at the Indianapolis show earlier that summer. Nice people.

Best show I saw that year is a toss up between Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
I try not to get too involved in my life. It's much too complicated.

I'd agree with those who say its way over the top and harsh. Not sure it can be defended by wierd vibes either, just totally out of line.

That being said, noones perfect, not even Eddie.....

You hear Jeff do the perfect sound on the bass. Stone was laughing his ass off.

As far as the show, Ed tried his ass off. I think the entire band was dissapointed by the set up of that arena. The fans are soooo far away. Ed brought Mike to the far edge of each side of the stage numerous times. Ed was straining to reach the crowd and overcome his tiredness.

Listen to the bootleg. The band is awesome that night. It was really cool to see them push themselves when they were tired. Similar to Hamilton show in Canada 05. They are at the wall and they just push right through.

Definitely a wierd vibe at the show though. No ten club seats so we were beside some "work ticket people". High heels and a dress (on the grass). I danced regardless.

If you are a girl who takes your top off at a Pearl Jam show you deserve to be ridiculed.

  • I remember getting my tickets, and being totally excited that I was in the 3rd row, Stone's side. The 3rd row ended up being about 200 feet away in high school bleachers. Great show though. Harmonica on SOLAT was my highlight
  • it was my first show. i thought it was amazing. a little short, but great nonetheless.
  • We were tailgating before the show with our fellow jammers and this girl and her friends happen to be a few cars over from us. She was pretty wasted even prior to the show. She was not familiar with any pearl jam songs and had never seen Pearl Jam per one of her friends who had spoke to us as she was stumbling around bothering everyone she could. I guess she must have thought she was at a Motley Crue show or something, where they encourage those actions, she deserve what she got in my opinion and what she ultimately wanted, I have been to over a hundred shows and this was definitely one of the most disappointing, the vibe was not that great, but once this girl came to the forefront, the bottom dropped out of the show....considering I travel a long way for this show, I really hope this girl has been completely humilated ever since but probably not, she's definitely infamous in the ranks of concerts over the years

the mosquito bites was hilarious, and since there was no fan club ticket sales, i was 8 rows back mike's side. i will never be that close again. just for that fact alone it was a great show.

The thing about it being a little short...It was 26 songs! The longest of the 5 shows I saw that tour with the exception of Boston III which really shouldn't count. Out of the 13 shows I had seen prior only 2 were longer. I don't know why I am fighting for this show so much but listen to that boot. They are working there asses off and Stone, Jeff and Matt do some special things.

that was for sure one of stragest nights i've ever had at a pj show. weird energy that night. ed was pretty hammered to say the least.

It was such a bizarre night. Great moon though. I thought the crowd sucked. We moved around a lot because of the crowd. Still had a good time (what show isn't fun?) had lots of laughs. That rant about the bug bites was hysterical.

And i'm sure it CAN'T be defended by wierd vibes. That was rude. Nothing can defend these words. Even the pretentiousness and foolishness of that girl. I don't understand why some persons, some girls do such of that things, it's ridiculous and stupid, but Eddie's commentary was't wiser.

I try to forget this thread

Although Ed's comments were obviously harsh, I kind of think this comment is more to the point.
  • lame venue, sketchy crowd, sat in traffic for an hour or more trying to get out. still had a great time, i remember the moon and fireworks.
