Colm Feore has been appointed First Husband on the upcoming season of Fox's "24."
On "24," from Imagine TV and 20th Century Fox TV, Feore will play the husband of the new president (Cherry Jones).
Emmy nominee Janeane Garofalo ("The Larry Sanders Show") joins the cast of "24" as "Janis Gold," an FBI systems analyst assigned to the team investigating the crisis befalling Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) and company in the upcoming Season Seven.
The Emmy Award-winning series resets the clock for "Day 7" in January, Mondays (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on Fox.
The highly anticipated seventh season of "24" promises to combine the show's unique and trend-setting format with compelling new elements. Each episode again will cover one hour of real time, and the season's entire story will take place in one day.
"24," created by Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran, is a production of Real Time Productions and Imagine Television in association with 20th Century Fox Television. Joel Surnow, Robert Cochran, Howard Gordon, Evan Katz, Jon Cassar, Manny Coto, Kiefer Sutherland and Brian Grazer are the executive producers.

Kinda wondering about that as well. But I think if need be they could just space our those 4 episode 2 day openers to further into the season. Maybe just start the year with 1 episode if they are delayed too badly, allowing them to catch up later.0 -

Additionally, John Billingsley has been added to the cast of the real-time thriller as a recurring next season, when the show will be based in Washington.
On "24," from Imagine TV and 20th Century Fox TV, Nordling will play an FBI agent named Larry. Details on Billingsley's character, Latham, have been kept under wraps.

Movie plans got put on hold, last I heard.
Should start that 2nd Sunday of January, but there have been some production delays, so depends if they catch up.
I did hear they wanted a clean slate and get rid of CTU altogether.
But no, David Palmer's sister, thank god, will not be president. The only thing I remember her in though is Oceans 12, where she played Matt Damon's mom.0 -

Embattled widower and Bauer best-buddy Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard) was not killed at the end of season five after all, Fox said yesterday.
Despite being left for dead in the CTU infirmary, executive producer Howard Gordon pointed out "since there was no silent clock at the conclusion of his last appearance - the '24' tribute to major character's demise - we always kept this as a possibility."
Almeida's return - which has been grist for the rumor mills for the past few months - will come during the new season's two-night premiere in January, the network says.
Another show-stopping secret was also confirmed: the people have elected the first female president of the United States, Allison Taylor, to be played by Cherry Jones.
Filming on this season had been delayed earlier this summer after producers scrapped a planned storyline about Jack Bauer (Keifer Sutherland) fighting terrorists in Africa.
Much of the first part of the season had to be rewritten.
Comedian Janeane Garofalo also joins the cast this spring as an FBI agent assigned to investigate Bauer's "actions in pursuit of justice" during last season.
Bauer's trial brings the story from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C.
Also back for another "day" are "24" fan favorite Chloe O'Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub) and Bill Buchanan (James Morrison).0 -
By the way, for anyone that cares, the rumor was Tony was coming back for the last 2 minutes of Season 6, and I thought as the ...... bad guy kinda. But that got scratched, so I'm not surprised if they bring him back now for Season 7.0

This will go down as one of the absolute worst moves in the history of television. Hey, I like Tony as much as the next guy, but you can't bring back someone who was killed a few seasons earlier. In 20 years, people will bring this up when a good show goes extraordinarily bad. Shows won't "Jump The Shark" they will "Resurrect Tony"0
