    hmmm........we have baked beans but im not sure they are living in tomato sauce. :eek: I dont eat them. And i HATE the smell of toast even SLIGHTLY burnt. Thats a weird combo. for ME. :D

    I know when I lived Stateside I couldn't get Heinz baked beans so I bought what looked closest (vegetarian beans ... the other ones had pork in) and they were vile :o ... so I don't think beans and toast is quite as popular as it is over here. In fact it's what I ordered at a cafe for brunch on Sunday :cool:

    EDIT: I just remebered an episode of The Osbournes where Jack made his friend (the Osbournes obviously get their beans shipped in bulk) that British staple a GIANT bowl of beans surrounded by slices of toast soldiers ... YUM!
    So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?

    I know you said you could picture it ... but just to help you out (Hells don't look if you're hungry :p) beans

    Sen from what I can remember in the US baked beans are much sweeter and darker in colour (lots of brown sugar :confused: ) where as the ones we get are in a more tomato less sweet sauce ... if that helps you to imagine your taste combo!

    Beans with waffles is great too. And, Sen I'm not talking about those crazy american waffles which are just pancakes with hles in them. Imean proper potato waffles! they're waffly versatile. :D

    beans go well with almost everything... I had chicken, potato croquettes and beans for dinner last night and it was so sooooo good :) burger chips and beans :) full breakfast with beans :) oh fuck, now I'm getting hungry!
