I thought that was a Superunknown shirt! I was like 98% confident. The group of people I was with just did not get any part of the "SWEET" i was saying about the music. Very sad.

the friend i went with asked who the Melvins were.
    i. am. mine.
  • I saw it last weekend and I loved it. the only problem is that I don't think it accurately reflects the "big deal" of being pregnant at 16, but it was really funny and I loved the adoption story. plus it doesn't hurt that i've been in love with jason bateman since I was like 9.

this one got reviewed in the sydney papers this morning - it does sound good - movies next week for us so it might be a good one to watch while the kids watch something else

or perhaps i should be dragging my eldest in with me - he's 14 this year - might make a lasting enough impact on him to think a little harder soon enough down the track

I want to see this... but I'm not paying $9 for a 90 minute movie.

Wow, just saw this movie this afternoon (theatre was PACKED, I was surprised!). I frickin' LOVED it! I was really looking forward to it, and it didn't disappoint (like most do when I get all excited about a movie).
I guess I liked it more because it really struck a note with me personally...I was adopted, and it got me thinking about what my birth mother must've gone through at 16.
And I've just got separated from my wife about 3 months ago...very similar to the Jason Bateman situation (I'm just like him, but am the one that really wants kids).
And yeah, the music was great fun. I can't wait to own this movie! Oh, and Michael Cera...is he ridiculously funny or what? Between this movie and Superbad, he's just about killed me!
So yeah, 2 thumbs up here!

    Peace
    :-p

That's what I was thinking. It's pretty good but nothing special

  • Just saw the movie tonight and I thought it was great. As already said it had some really endearing moments. Ellen Page played Leahy's daughter in "Trailer Park Boys" but I am not sure how well known that show is outside of Canada but it truly is an amusing show. A bit like the movie "Fubar" which is hilarious :D
  • In the scene where Ellen is talking to Jason (they are talking about music, he is wearing a blue sweater and sitting down), is that a Pearl Jam album cover behind him?

Was surprised how much I enjoyed it. I was ready to be put off by how it is supposedly really smug and self-satisfied but the dialogue wasn't anywhere near as overdone as some people say and ANYTHING with Michael Cera in it is immediately awesome.
