anyone going to be a donor once they have passed away? or have already given an organ?

anyone here that is waiting for a transplant?

(no i'm not trying to sell your organs on the black market.. just curious ;) )

    Yes, I have it marked on my drivers license that they can use anything they need after I am done with it :)

    No I am not. And not to make light at all of anyone who may be waiting for transplant or those who have decided to be donors, I immediately thought of this song when I read this thread....

    i am a donor, have been since i got my license and will continue to be. I figure if i can do anything to help someone out might as well do it, not like i'll be needing my organs after i die.

    In the next couple years there's a good chance I'll be giving up a kidney as someone close to me is on the list, but the Doc said we have a few years to wait and see if he gets one, after that if it doesn't look good and it's getting towards crunch time, then out mine goes.

    that, my friend, is the ultimate gift. you probably don't even think twice about it.. but its really amazing.

    My fiance is on the list. he's waiting. we are all waiting for him. you have no idea how much you just gave your friend!!!

    ditto. i won't have much need for them at that point....may as well give to someone who can use 'em. :)
    edit: oh yeah, and i just saw that we're counting blood, too. i try to give that every two months when i'm eligible again.
