Thats the free throw disparity between Leon Powe and the whole Laker team. Hey Celtics fans, you see a problem? I actually questioned the Lakers after game 1, but after game 2, I more confident than ever about the Lakers sending this series back to Boston up 3-2. I was actually laughing after every Laker foul and every "great defensive" series of the Celtics. Wow, that was bad.

Lets see, we got a lame ass inspiring injury to Pierce in game 1, a 38 to 10 FTA disparity in game 2. In game 6 I'm guessing Kevin McHale is actually gonna suit up? What do you guys think? How are the Celtics gonna beat the Lakers other than by actually playing?

Haha, I love it.

I say they go back to Boston with the C's up 3 games to 2. I think they steal one in LA.

wouldn't it be sweet if they had to play game 7 in MSG with 1 ref that loves the Celts 1 that loves the Lakers and 1 that hates both teams?

Celtics win in 6, the guys on ESPN said that after playing Atlanta and Cleveland and Detroit's defense, the Lakers seems more like a college D to them, lmao.

I'd be making excuses if my team was down 0-2 as well.

What it LA had won w/a 38-10 disparity? Would you question that.

I think Boston wins this thing in 5.

he may be bitter but you are pretty much showing your bias by not trying to respond to his points ... seriously being outfouled by leon powe in 14 mins of play is absolutely ridiculous ...

i'm not really cheering for any team but want to see a good series - the refereeing last nite was questionable at best ...

    fair enough, I'll respond.

were the refs giving home court advantage calls ... hell, I posted elsewhere that yeah, they were ... it was evident that the Celtics were getting more calls going there way ...

But ... if you watched the game, the Celtics were going to the basket more than the Lakers were, penetration begets fouls/foul shots ... a point even Phil Jackson brought up in his post game interview. He wasn't just bemoaning the calls (although, he was a little, as, I'm sure he wasnts the same treatment in game 3) ... but, he also stated something to the effect that the Celts were far more agressive in going to the basket, thus they were getting the calls.

I'm sure if the Celtics look the wrong way in game three, they'll get called for a foul.

drive to the basket you candy asses and you will get your fair share of foul shots.

celtics agressively drove to the basket last night, for the first time in in some time really, and when that happens you will get your foul shots.

lakers kept shooting jumpers. not too many fouls called on jumpers in the playoffs unless its a blatant hand slap, body contact, or push.
All that's sacred, comes from youth....dedications, naive and true.

Games have been great at the Garden - this is why I have bought tickets for years and years for moments like the past week.

This is pretty funny stuff, Lakers fans crying about the officials? A team that's gotten way more calls than any other in recent years. I seem to remember a series against Portland in 2000 when the officials basically refused to call you guys for a foul during an entire 4th quarter of Game 7. Or a series against Sacramento in 2002 when Shaq was simply allowed to bowl over anybody he wanted, with the foul being called on the defender. Or a series in 2004 when the T-Wolves and KG couldn't get any calls in games 3 & 4 at Staples. Now suddenly it's you guys who are the victims? What a shame. Maybe if half your roster wasn't soft European players you might get a few calls. Radmanovic and Gasol look scared to even be in the lane. Meanwhile Lamar (pretty boy) Odom won't mix it up either. That's why your down 0-2.

The Lakers went to the line 27.7 times per game in the regular season and also about 28 times in the playoffs so far.

Kobe has acknowledge the Boston's defense why can't their fans do the same?

I get it. (I was being ridiculous on purpose with my bitter comment) There are reasons to gripe, but it's just not as big a reason as the FT disparity indicates. As many have said, there are some legitimate reasons for those differences.

Anyways, it's not the refs didn't let Radmonivic (sp?) walk to the basket with about 8 steps to cut it to four in the fourth.
