  • i agree. i'm sad to say i've just given up on this show altogether, and i loved it for years! it has ran its course i feel.

It was my favorite show for the first three seasons.. and then everything just got repetitive and cliche. I still look forward to every episode, but not nearly at the same level of excitement.

and it's like okay, so tony was alive for an entire season and didn't show up once, wasn't made reference to at all??

i wish more people would just not watch instead of announcing to board posters their dissatisfaction with a show and their plans,

these are the same *people* who will continue to watch to gather supposed ammo for their unpopular opinion

had to kill they did better in the 18-49 demo in season 6 than season 5
    (which is all that matters)

looked like we were just discussing the show overall. i watched since season 2 and it wasn't until last season that i finally threw my hands up.

so not watch *and* share my opinion? i have the right & pleasure of doing both. so deal with it :)

    *edit for your edit*

i won't be watching for ammo, cuz i wont' be watching. and demographics mean shit. quality is where it's at. and it wasn't in season 6, in my opinion.

uh...what? I guess you're the tv expert and the smartest guy here, since everyone on this board, the rest of the internet, and the real world think this is the single stupidest, most desperate move in the history of television

I think its pretty clever the way they've brought Tony back into it after everyone thought he was dead. Although it is a little strange that there was no mention of him in the 6th Season.

Someone refresh my memory of how he 'died'?

Was it the fight with the robocop guy?

Tony was going to kill Robocop (who was supposedly in an almost veggie state) with a needle full of something (can't remember) for killing Michelle. He couldn't do it. Robocop woke up, turn the needle around and stapped Tony with it. Jack runs in, finds Tony on the ground and cries.
  • As far as whether its a dumb move bringing Tony back or not......

Depends how they do it. I think there is a chance it could be something really cool.

And for Tony not being mentioned "all of last season", I don't think its very hard to not mention someone for 24hrs, 18 months after they supposedly died.

all you're showing is you don't know much about anything at all. and that's your right, and privledge :D

and that's fine, keep living in the delusion the show doesn't suck. i'm just waiting to hear about a big musical number in the last hour where curtis, jack's wife and edgar all come back from the grave a la 'thriller' style, and do the rockette kick while the cougar that tormented kim does the moonwalk in front wearing a top hat.

that's about what it'd take to make me watch again :p

In all seriousness, there is a big difference between a show not being as great as its preceeding seasons, vs "sucking".

I will be the first to admit that last year was frustrating for many hardcore fans, and it did feel like it just didn't match up to previous seasons. But there was still some fantastic television that came out of 24 last year.

okay well true, maybe sucking is too strong a word, disappointing i guess is more appropriate.

hopefully they'll do better this season for those who still watch :)

that is true, it's only one day, they could go a day without talking about tony, especially with everything else that was going on...
  • more from the official 24 website:

    7:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M.
Tony learns that Henderson, the man who was responsible for killing Michelle, is now in the same room with him after the nerve gas lockdown. Tony grabs the guarding agent’s gun and threatens to kill Henderson. Jack talks him out of it over intercom. When Henderson lapses into a coma, Tony wants to inject him with a lethal dose of the medicine. Yet he can’t bring himself to do it. The alert Henderson takes Tony’s hand and forces him to stab himself. When Jack gets there, he finds that Henderson has escaped. Tony dies in Jack’s arms.
