  • At least its not called Walmart Field..
  • Outdoor baseball in Minnesota in April and September? Isn't it kind of cold there? Why not a retractable roof?

It's 67 right now during the game and it's going to be 72 tomorrow.

Isn't it kind of cold in Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Boston, and New York in April and September too sometimes? Somehow these teams have managed to play games outdoors for the past...uh...century? I say thanks, but no thanks to that roof.
No longer overwhelmed it seems so simple now.

Love the comment...Thank Goodness its not...as a resident of Minneapolis I may not have been able to set foot on the field.

  • I was "meh" on the name at first but it actually doesn't bother me anymore. I'd prefer stadiums named after individuals but that's not the world we live in now. Target is a good company and the name is generic enough to not be annoying (as opposed to "Petco Park" or "Network Associates Coliseium").
    So this life is sacrifice...

Because baseball is meant to be played outside. :) We're hearty folk in the midwest, we'll bundle up and survive just fine.

Also it is a locally based company (us operations at least) for the area. That helps too. Tech names are bad (A.- they seem to change more, B.- they just dont flow right).

Would I prefer the ballpark here be called Tiger Park or The NEW Tiger Stadium? Perhaps, but as far as corporate names go "Comerica Park" flows okay, and was a local company
