  • At my last job, we all used first names. Whether you were talking to the chairman of the firm, or to someone that worked in the copy center, we used first names.

I do remember the receptionists using Mr. ___ and Mrs. ____ when they spoke to attorneys, but that was unusual.
  • My boss insists on all of us referring to him as Captain James.

Yeah, I got 2 jobs, I call both bosses by their 1st names. I figure i'm an adult he/she are adults we are both equals. They don't mind. Other's call one bloke Mr. I think he is closer to him then others because I always go out of my way to say hi to him, have a joke with him, and bag out his football team.

  • All of the staff members usually use first names...but we call each other by last names a lot of times. We also have nicknames for each other. I work in a jail and it is REAL laid back!
