I can't believe its been almost 10 yrs since I posted this and she went on to have 2 more brain surgeries in May 2009!
My twin baby girls will be 13 in 2 weeks and Kiley went with me to her first PJ shows at Wrigley last year!!!!
Cassidy is still my miracle, and now mostly seizure free. But her last surgeries did result in the removal of her left brain. However, as strange as it sounds, she is WAY better with 1/2 of a brain than she was with 100%. As her neurologist said, no brain is better than bad brain, lol.
10 yrs later and we are still pearl jammin'

Thank you for posting this update. As I slog around trying to put off the mundane tasks of another grueling Monday, this lifted me up with a big smile.
Edit - What I was really trying to get across is that it puts my petty inconveniences in perspective. It is very uplifting to see people go through such difficult times and still come through with a positive outlook. I just read this back and realized I was maybe a little fuzzy in my meaning. I hope it didn't come across like I was making it about myself. I suck at words.
