  • ok....your oilers just traded Marc-Andre Bergeron to my islanders for Denis Grebeshkov.....what are we getting in Bergeron....why did he fall out of favor in Edmonton? As for Grebs.....he played 30 something games for us last season....he was pretty solid for a rookie dman...wasnt shy about hitting...but his overall game could use some improvement...obviously, being that he's still just a kid.

He is good. He's FAST and has a hell of a hard shot. He was being played too much too fast, too many minutes in a game, and he wasn't able to keep up with that. He's a damn good player and I'm really disappointed in this trade.

    Offensive d-man totally
  • poor oilers fans...it looks like your team is in a selling mood...and only one year removed from a stanley cup appearance. well, thanks for the solid dman!

He has a very heavy shot....he can skate fast...cannot check worth a damn and will cough the puck up at least 5-10x/night in his end.....

    I hope MAB does well......
  • Decent game tonight, lets keep it up!

  • Smyth turned down $5.5/year for 5 years....he wanted $6.0/year....I love the man and it hurts to see him go but really I think that is a little too much....PLUS he may still sign in the off-season....rather get something in return than nothing.....we got some food prospects...however this is an example of the towel being thrown in for the season.....
  • I dont even know what to do... :( my heart is broken.

That sucks. I really like Ryan. He's such a damn good player. I can't believe he went to the Islanders. He IS Edmonton hockey, or was I guess. Fuck...
  • it's a sad day :(
  • Truly a sad day for the team... :(

I know I just replied to EG's thread but it bears repeating..
  • For some reason these two former dynasties like to trade with each other (Peca, Niinimaa, Salo...) We'll see who will eventually be the winner in this.

Other sad Edmonton related news over here is that a cabinet fell over Esa Tikkanen's son (1year 9months old) and he's in critical condition not sure if he'll survive.
