at a show people right in the front are blatantly recording? or anywhere for that matter. i mean it never seems like they do, and it is permitted on the site. but i've always wondered ..
2006: Hartford

    i dont think so....didnt he at one euro 2000 show see a guy recording and he grabbed his device and brought it on stage to get better sound for the guy? something like that.

    i don't know about that what i do know is that he got pissed off when people up front were looking up at the video screen for the 1st JONES BEACH show 00 ,the very next night it was a blank screen ....

    not sure about that one, but I believe in one of the Carolina shows- maybe Columbia in 2000, one guy was struggling to tape and put his arm around his girl, so Ed took the recorder from him and put it on the stage and joked that they weren't going to give it back to him...or was he not joking? :)

    I think the people who take photographs and write down the set lists are annoying. I mean they are posted by this site and photos are put out to.
    I mean get into the show. A reason why I own not 1 poster or anything is I would lose it during the show. The calculated boring people annoy the band in my opinion. I towed the line in the front row 2000 2003 and 2005

    When I skipped the last 2 tours the policy changed as it should have been. The front rows sucking annoys them.

    Although i have a photo of me holding up eddie for state college that I love that a friend of mine took from row 3. So i guess i am a hypocrite.

    I think anything that distracts you from being present in what's happening might be annoying. (Or, maybe not if they don't notice you?)

    Think of trying to talk to someone who is constantly looking elsewhere, moving furniture, getting distracted...there's not much connection is there?

    I think it might be best to just use a little common sense. The band members are people standing in front of you, they are trying to get your attention, don't treat the men on stage like a TV screen.

    On a different note I think EV gets annoyed a little when girls flash while SG is grinning like the cat who ate the canary in the same situation.

    Its probably more to do with they are concentrating more on recording ect that they are missing the show. You're kinda missing the concert by trying to keep a record of it if you know what i mean.

    this isnt 1986 you can just get the shows professionaly recorded.

    Notice the top 2 threadsright now on here are about the camera policy at MSG and posters.

    I dont pretend to ever get you guys. But I respect you.

    My agenda is drink 12 beers go in rock out leave. if am lucky i have another show to goto if not then its over and i am sad.

    I had to cuz I was sitting on the side. And the screen was right there. And I couldn't see the stage very well. I could see Stone okay. But middle and to the left was a struggle.

    My biggest problem when at a GA show is taking to many picture of the band when I'm on the front rail in front of the stage. I noticed I took a shit load at Ween last June and noticed Deaner getting pissed so I just shut my camera off and started partying my ass off having the best time ever. He gave me a head nod at the end of the show when I held up my camera and mouthed "sorry" to him. I also met Geaner before the show, best concert I have ever been too. Ween shows are close to being the best live act around.
