I absolutley love this show. I can't stand kids, but there's just something about it.
Aaden is definitely the cutest thing ever. I love the one where him and Jon went to a dairy farm or something and Aaden couldn't have cared less about the real cows, but at the ice cream stand there was a painting of a cow and he flipped out...he loved it! Adorable.
Then Kate says something about how when they got home she asked him what they saw and he said something about how he saw big cows and little cows and then he ran away laughing. So cute.
The other one I like is Joel...I think lol. The one that has the blank stare whenever he gets yelled at."The customer...is always...an ASSHOLE"

That woman is the devil, plain and simple. I cringe every time I find my wife watching this show. Worried she might be taking notes. We are the facilitators of our own creative evolution.--Bill Hicks0

i agree....remember too that she is home with them all day long...at least Jon get to escape it when he goes to work. i used to do daycare but at least at the end of the day i could send all but my own two kids home with their parents...or else i probably would've lost my marbles had i had to keep all of them 24/7.
i don't watch much t.v. but yeah i find myself hooked on this show....the kids couldn't be any more freakin adorable if they tried. awwww...they're so sweet most of the time it makes you just want to squeeze 'em

Oh Yeah, I'm addicted to this show. I cheered for the Phillies to win the World Series because Jon took a few of his kids to a Phillies game.
And I agree, Kate is harsh. I like her and I like that she has control of everything because motherhood is not easy. I was a lot like her when I had just one kid. As soon as the second kid came along, forget it.....I lost control of everything and it's remained that way for 9 years now.The best use of Life is Love.

I'm never as good as when you're there.........0 -

It's the way she speaks to her husband that I find completely disrespectful. I know some relationships work like that, but if that were me there would be no way for me to put up with it. I would say something. As a person who is about to become a dad I understand that there are certain dynamics that change within a marriage when you have kids, but I still don't want to be talked to the way she does to Jon sometimes. We are the facilitators of our own creative evolution.--Bill Hicks0 -

My friend and I were having a few drinks before going out one night and found ourselves watching Jon and Kate Plus 8. We ended up playing a drinking game that involved drinking whenever Kate crushed Jon's self-esteem/manhood/pride. It was a very successful drinking game.No time to be void or save up on life. You got to spend it all.0

as the oldest of 8 i love this show, b/c it helps my wife who was from a wealthy family of 3 better understand how i grew up. now she gets what a production it was to go on a simple trip, or eat out, and so on. i do like for her to see kate be mean to john as well, b/c now she sees how ridiculous it is to be a drama queen when a little respect and tact would go a long way. i don't know i guess the show kind of helps our marriage get better.0

I watch too, and every time my ovaries HURT! Holy crap, now that's birth control right there! I don't care how much help they have, that's a freaking gaggle of kids!
Kate is a little overwhelming, but she really does have to run that household with military precision.
She used to really irk me, but a few weeks ago I saw an episode where she said somthing along the lines about how she couldn't live without John - they were soulmates and partners in every sense of the word. Somehow, even though she is extremely controlling - they make it work. And she's very abrasive. He takes it. But they look like they have a great marriage despite. And it looks REAL, not staged. They fight, argue...but there is also sweet little looks and smooches. That's cute."Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former. "

Let me tell you how this all went down. He's out one night with his nerd buddies on a Friday night after nerdy, highly successful computer job. He meets this marginally hot, blonde white lady. They talk, they hook up blah blah blah. Then they get married. He's cool because it's just him and the honky livin' the life. She's bitchy, he can hide away in World of Warcraft or something while she obsesses (sp?) or how off center the pictures on the mantle are.
Then she can't get prego. They have the twins. He's thinks he's done. Then she wants more and surprise she having trouble again. "Here," the doctor says, "these magic pills will help you get pregnant." Little does Jon know these magic friggin pills are going to make kids spill out of his wife like a Thanksgiving cornucopia.
Dude. I know he loves those kids, and obviously he loves the wife. But I see it on his face. There are moments when he seriously wants to walk out the door, jump on a motorcycle and do a wheelie for about ten miles away from that house. It's not just the kids. It's the wife. She is a monster to him.
The show should be called Kate Would Like to Thank TLC for Making Me Famous Because Without Them I Would Have To Raise My 8 Kids With My Husband Who Can't Do Anything Right, Jon.I'm so dangerous I smoke dynamite.0 -
i went to high school w/ Jon. he was about 5 years older than me but i was friends with his brother. haven't caught the show recently but it was cool to see my old neighborhood on TV. the first house they lived in (in the early seasons) is actually the street right behind where i grew up.0
