Has Pearl Jam done an Iron Maiden cover?
Options
Does anyone know if the boys have done a Maiden cover? Am watching an Iron Maiden DVD at the moment, and thought of the "Live at Garden" DVD where Eddie says, "Many people have played here, Iron Maiden", etc (That's not word for word I know). I would love to hear Pearl Jam do a Maiden cover. I think only Eddie Veddder could do Bruce Dickinson's voice perfectly for a Maiden cover. They are both my favourite vocalists.

You are correct. Mike plays a very short snippet of "Number". If you check out youtube Lars Ulrich and Nicko McBrain have a "drum off" to "Run to the Hills". Not the best imo, Lars sounds like an idiot when doing that. But that is my opinion.
I have to say though, the reason for this post is, I would love to hear a good cover of a Maiden song by a top band. Can anyone help me?0 -
Yep I was clearly being an idiot, worth checking out anyway!!0

Yea, Ed was talking about other times when the stage at MSG shook and Mike busts out the Number intro riff. That was some funny stuff!I smile, but who am I kidding...0 -

Revelations would be the perfect Maiden song for Eddie to sing.
I could hear him singing Bind all of us together,Ablaze with Hope and Free,
No storm or heavy weather Will rock the boat you'll see.0 -

holy shit! i never thought of that! that would actually be an amazing cover for pj to do! revelations is a brilliant song. people get the wrong idea about maiden .. just a cheesy old metal band. i'm not even a fan of that kind of music (dont like judas priest, etc..) but iron maiden is a group of extremely talented musicians. seventh son, somewhere in time, and piece of mind are insanely amazing albums.2006: Hartford
2008: MSG 1, Hartford, Mansfield 2, Ed Solo NYC 1
2009: London (O2), Philly 1, 2, 3, & 4

2012: Philly (MIA Fest)
2013: Worcester 2, Brooklyn 1 & 2, Hartford0
