I am stuck at work and her parents took her. She is okay but she might have a kindney stone only thank god. She called me when she was at home, she was on the floor crying in pain. Anyone ever deal with this? What should I expect?
She just gave a urine sample and had a lot of blood in her pee.
Can anyone help here?

It does sound like a kidney Stone too me....your wife is in some kind of pain......if I were you I would definitely kiss your wife's ass this weekend!! Buy her some flowers and cook her some dinner!! :o

They probably gave her a little strainer to hold under her when she pees. Hopefully she will pass it on her own. IF not, they will have to surgically remove it which IS NOT FUN!!!:(

Not trying to be funny or anything, I hope all will be well with your wife

Does it hurt more for a dude to pass the stone considering its a smaller place it needs to exit rather than a woman

    Just Curious

Yes, for a man it is close to giving birth pain for a woman! It hurts like crazy for a man....some men have been known to pass out from the pain...hehehehe

I thought they zapped kidney stones with a "laser beam" to break them into little bits. Never had stones, just and infection and I remember I was unable to walk. I wad doubled over in the quad at university, crying and screaming...that pain was SEVERE!

Get your wife a diamond or something to remember this by...she'll cherish it forever!

Some hospitals use that machine, and some don't. I'm not sure how dependable it is. I will have to find out more about it!!

Oh no! Those are terribly painful!

My roommate had one in college and I took her to the ER. Before they could determine that it was a kidney stone, they did a pregnancy test to rule out ectopic pregnancy and took blood and ruled out appendicitis. Eventually, they decided it was a kidney stone and gave her painkillers and sent her home. What I remember being the worst thing about it was that it took them a while to determine exactly what was wrong with her before they would give her any pain meds. However, once they realized it, she took them and felt so much better by that evening.

I hope they get the pain under control very quickly!

    Mr. Acoustic,

i wish your wife a quick recovery.
that is truly a painful experience.
flowers are in order my friend.
you may dislike me and all, that's fine.
but um, we are adults here.
good luck with your wife and this issue as it is no fun.

i'll tell ya something that quite crazy medically.
my dad (dead now) used to have kidney stones constantly.
i would not be stretching the truth in the least if i said he had some
50-80 kidney stones in his lifetime, possibly more.
after so many it made him tough as fuck with them like it was comman knowledge.
a doctor once told him that he had just passed the largest kidney stone he had ever saw.

not while she's passing a kidney stone. if you're going to cheat, you've at least got to work for it. that kind of violates the whole just getting your fun on the side but still being there 100% for the wife rule. she needs him, he's there. now next weekend when she's recovered and is back to complaining about the how he didn't clean the dishes well enough for her and how he has to turn out the light before sex... then he can slip away and find some play!

see, you've got to have values :)

Personal feelings towards the OP aside, I do feel for his wife. I've had numerous kidney infections (one I nearly died from). Granted I have never given birth, but the pain is absolutely HORRID. At one point I literally had to *CRAWL* down the hallway to the kitchen. I hope she feels better very soon.
