They are always at the top of the THREAT DOWN list.Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Go Jayhawks!

I'm afraid of birds...mostly of them dive-bombing. Though, my ex's mom had birds and she used to put them on my shoulders all the time. I didn't want to say anything...you know...because it's my boyfriend's mom. God I hated that.
I'm also desperately afraid of needles going into my veins, either to draw blood or for an IV. It's not unjustified, though. I have horrible veins and they can never do it on the first try. I get stabbed no less than 3 or 4 times...then they have to DIG to get the vein. Then they have to give up and use the 'butterfly' needle (which is for kids). Yeah, I'm 27 and I cry from the pain/trauma!!!! :(This is the greatest band in the world -- Ben Harper0 -

I have a friend that makes "rat" noises and it freaks me out. I don't even like typing the word...IF YOU WANT A PLATE OF MY BEEF SWELLINGTON, YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO PAY THE COVERCHARGE.0 -
PJGARDEN wrote:I guess this belongs under irrational. It's really weird. I'm scared that I'm going to wake up in the middle of the night, stand on my bed, and hit my head on the fan while the fan is going. I think I had a dream about that one night and now I always think about that when I wake up in the middle of the night.
Aw, jeez, I never thought of that, but now it's got me terrified. And I don't even have a ceiling fan. I do have a weird fear though. I have a reverse fear of heights. If I'm standing somewhere high, say a rooftop, and look up at something higher, maybe a taller building or something, it kinda freaks me out, makes my legs buckle.0 -

I fear every third SPEEDY post because it will inevitably be a complaint about the Cincy setlist.
Let it go, mate.<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/jmgphotos/sets/72157600802942672/">My Pearl Jam Photos</a>

Trailer wrote:How often do you come in contact with eels that you would be terrified of them??haha I eat them every once in a while at my local sushi spot
When I was in Japan I ate at this restaurant and they had eels swimming around in a tank. Whenever someone would order some eel, they would pull one out and chop some of it off and serve it, and then throw the rest of the eel back in the tank. The eels would still be alive, so there were eels swimming in there with half there bodies chopped off!! Basically your worst nightmare
I'm only around them when I go to an aquarium...lol. That's why it's in irrational fear.
Your story just gave me the worst chills!!!! I actually shivered. :eek:0 -

I get that too. It's really awful, if relatively rare and inconsequential.:p

Spiders  I don't even mean poisonous one... just spiders at ALL. YUCK. I know some people find them fascinating but they just creep me out.
Also, I am afraid of dying alone and being the crazy cat lady in my neighborhood. I don't actually have any cats right now but you see where I am going :(0 -

My mother-in-law is TERRIFIED of birds. I mean, she can't even stand the sight of one. When we go down the shore, she won't eat anything on the boardwalk, because she doesn't want a gull to dive-bomb her...but even just seeing one or two flying above her head sends her into a panic.0 -

OMG! That's one of mine. I'm not really a cat person...but I would have to get a bunch ... like 20+ just so I could be 'that crazy, lonely, cat lady'.This is the greatest band in the world -- Ben Harper0 -
