sorry to hone in on you guys thread ... but it is one fine beer ... to go along with a large seafood pizza from the cow! ... :)

You guys get it in Canada? Man you guys have great taste in here. Seafood pizza is tops. But not as tops as the old seafood pie from Georgie Pie...sorry to derail this thread somewhat but these are all great memories. I dont think youd be the only one who doesnt like it though, few of my mates dont like it so much.
And Bazzer whyd you buy 3? Thats a sweet price for three though. At the end of the day im only buying it to have it, which without a job at the mo I dont think I should be doing.

To flick off on trademe of course! That's nearly 80% profit per disc! ;) Actually, I'm lucky enough to have friends that like them too, so we pooled our order.

Youd better buy heaps of down under posters then, those things seems to go for mint on Ebay. Do you actually have an interest in this cd or just to fill the collection? Ive already got this show on my computer, I cant believe they didnt put the performance of the old Crapshoot on it.

  • Hey Scott have you got anymore insider info??? I should really compile all the rumours together like the Aussie thread had (before the rumours were confirmed).

What's not to have an interest in? An offically released (partial) bootleg? I'm assuming the quality is better than anything from that show already released.

And also for my collection. I couldn't handle there being an official release that is so cheap and easy to get and not have it. I mean I don't own all the singles or retail bootlegs or even want to, but albums and EPs, most definitely... I'm still trying to get the digipak Ten and VS.

Yeah its just the partial part of it that gets me. Why 7 songs out of a great set that was 16 songs long? For me ill probably buy it, but I already have the set on my computer. Im trying to fill my collection out with singles/boots (at least one from each tour) and other stuff. I thought about collecting the vinyls but I might pass.
I hope you make a mint if you wanna find those digipaks...I saw one going for US200 the other day on Ebay.

Yeah, I collect the vinyl too. My girlfriend bought me LOTL back in the day and that started me off. Again, its only the hard stuff that I don't have (early xmas singles, basketball ten, soldier field - although that's not official so I'm not that bothered). I'd pay the money for them, but it's too risky when they've got to come from so far away...
Enzed, what condition was the 91 single in?

  • Fuck. I want my "Pearl Jam" LP. And Pearl Jam show.

Wat songs are people looking forward to?

Personally I wouldn't mind if they played mostly hits. But I'd love some rarities. If I happen to meet Ed before the show I'll ask him for some B-Sides.

They may play 2 shows here (and aren't you going to Melbourne?) so yuo have a good chance of getting a nice selection of songs...

Edit: Plus I hope our vinyl arrives in mint condition. My xmas single came just loose in a lightly padded envelope. It was heaps too big for it and you can see on the sleeve that the vinyl had been half way out during the trip. Anything could've happened and now the sleeve is not really mint which is a bit of a bummer. I think they will take more care with the album though, so don't get too worried. My RVM vinyl came a bit damaged (2 slabs of vinyl in each side of the gatefold of course it's not going to hold!) but everything else has always been fine (even Benaroya which I was most worried about).

I think we'll be lucky to see a set that long. Part of me thinks that they'll amke up for not being here for nearly 9 years, but we'll see... But there'll definitely be some Split Enz I'd think. What I like most about PJ's live show is the length, the crowd interaction/ed's banter and the fact that you never really know what you might get (aside from a few staples). If they were like some bands that have more or less identical sets night after night, I'd have to rethink going to multiple shows this tour, no matter how big a fan I am. It'd get tired I reckon, seeing the same gig night after night.

I'd pay for two nights of the same setlist. But how cool would it be if they played 2 completely different set for 2 nights.

And won't they? Don't they usually?
Sure I'd still go see them twice in NZ, but I wouldn't go to Oz for a few shows too. It'd just get a bit same old same old... and that's the last thing I'd want. It's been over 8 years since I saw them, I hope they live up to my memories. At least with allocated seating I won't get gum in my hair...
