Don't you mean like Eric Gagne? Todays paper had a picture from the 1995 Red Sox featuring Mo Vaughn, Roger Clemens, and Jose Canseco. Way to set up the Northeast Balco franchise.0 -

apparently gagne wasn't using them right, but the sox will take the brewers sandwich pick next year and they can have fun paying him $10mil. and not to get sidetracked, but according to the dates in the mitchell report, it would appear that big mo and roger started using AFTER they left the red sox. jose was a juicer since day 1. and if anything nyc seems to have been the performance enhancing drug center of the east coast.
anyways - how are those jets and ny giants doing? sucks that shockey broke his leg. not that it matters since eli is downright horrible.0 -
the best thing was all the drunks in the stands throwing snow up in the air lol0

I stand by this statment. Throw in the Chargers as well. They had a tough time beating the hapless Jets in these conditions. All that's sacred, comes from youth....dedications, naive and true.0 -
Except the Pats D gets better in the muckm and they have a good running game.

I dont know man. You probably watch more games than I, but it seems he does struggle in the rain. the snow, well...he owns the snow. Wind and rain bring him down to the level of a star vs. superstar.
Not so sure about the defense either....a lot of wide open guys that were over/under thrown yesterday, and a lot of big runs. Who knows...thats why they play the games....ha ha.
I think I have figured out why so many people hate the patriots now. Answer: Rodney Harrison. All that's sacred, comes from youth....dedications, naive and true.0 -
T. Brady on 60 Minutes tonight that better not be a jinx. Time for a shutout against Miami. Defense needs to shine today, it was windy down on the beach today.

I'm stuck watching this game because I'm at my parents house. How bad are Simms and Nantz? These 2 are driving me up a wall with how annoying they are.Boston 9-28-04, 5-24-06, 5-25-06, 5-17-10, 8-5-16, 8-7-16, 9-2-18, 9-4-18

i like simms and nantz or almost any other pairing cbs has to offer. i like buck and aikman on fox too, but most of fox's other announcers are flat out horrible.
anyways, the pats played like garbage in the 2nd half. the dolphins changed their defensive scheme around (or so it seemed), but the pats couldn't do much of anything.
15 down, 1 to go then the real season starts. the giants game on saturday night should be interesting now that the giants have clinched a playoff spot. does plaxico sit out to get an extra week of rest on the ankle?0 -
as of right now the pats would have the 8th overall pick thanks to the 49ers.0

Pats-Giants to be first three-network simulcast game in NFL history
The New England Patriots' shot at history Saturday night will be available for every household in the country with a television after months of wrangling.
The game against the New York Giants, in which the Patriots could become the first NFL team to go 16-0 in the regular season, was originally scheduled to be shown only on the NFL Network, which is available in fewer than 40 percent of the nation's homes with TVs.
The league announced Wednesday that the NFL Network feed will be simulcast on NBC and CBS. It's a major concession by league officials, who repeatedly said they would not show the game anywhere but the NFL Network. The NFL had faced mounting pressure from lawmakers in recent weeks to make the game available to more viewers.
Local TV affiliates in the Boston, Manchester, N.H., and New York areas who were already set to simulcast the game under NFL policy will still air it.
The NFL has feuded with major cable companies, who have declined to carry the network as part of basic packages.
"We have taken this extraordinary step because it is in the best interest of our fans," commissioner Roger Goodell said. "What we have seen for the past year is a very strong consumer demand for NFL Network. We appreciate CBS and NBC delivering the NFL Network telecast on Saturday night to the broad audience that deserves to see this potentially historic game. Our commitment to the NFL Network is stronger than ever."
This will be the first three-network simulcast in NFL history and the first simulcast of any kind of an NFL game since the first Super Bowl in 1967, when CBS and NBC both televised the first meeting of the champions of the newly merged National Football League and American Football League.0 -

would nbc and cbs get any advertising money from a simulcast? i would have to guess they would.
here in boston the game will be on the nfl network (if you have it) and was going to broadcast on the abc affiliate and now cbs and nbc.
i wonder why cbs AND nbc. i could see if it was just cbs because they show afc games, but then why would fox not get it? unless they were offered and passed. nbc does sunday night football, but then why not espn unless they were in the same boat as fox. i would think that they would have just showed it on one major network and not two. either way it is pretty cool. not like anything else is on saturday night.0 -

It is interesting as to why just those 2 networks
I think if it was an NFC team FOX would be on board
Maybe the NFL took money from the Networks to broadcast it ?

from what i've read this morning apparently cbs and nbc initiated the request with the nfl a couple weeks ago...so i guess that's why just those two networks.0
