Good to see... good matchup two with the SC Champion Wings and the young and up and coming Blackhawks.

I'm not sure that I like it in a baseball park though... It will just looks strange with the shape of the rink vs the sake of the ballpark.

I'm a Cubs and Blackhawks fan, and it's going to be neat to see.
What's not going to be neat to see is the fuckin' RedWings come in and kick the Hawk's ass.
It's bad enough the Hawks get beat inside and in front of well, not that many people anymore...LOL! Why do they want the entire world knowing they suck? :D

    Fuckin Bill Wirtz!

Hey don't be so hard on your team! ....with Wirtz now six feet under the Hawks are having a real remerging as one of the great young teams in the league with the Pens and Caps!

Dude, you even watch any Hawks games last year? This team is going to be a force next season. Already have a solid core of offensive players in Kane(ROY), Toews, Sharp, Havlat and Lang. They addressed the defense by adding Brian Campbell, one of the most sought after free agents, and they just signed Matt Walker to go along with Sopel, Seabrook and Barker. And they added Huet to platoon with Khabi in net. They aren't at the Wings' level yet, but they are making huge strides and will be very competitive. Most games were sold-out by the end of last season and it will be even harder to get tickets this year. Say good-bye to the $8 student tickets in the 300 level. I wish this game was at Soldier Field(more people and more of a cold weather atmosphere), but it will still be badass either way. I'm pumped.

Oh, and Bill Wirtz died a year ago. His son Rocky has taken over and he's the man.
He floated back down 'cause he wanted to share, his key to the locks on the chains he saw everywhere.

Yeah, they really do have some incredible young talent.
Honestly, I think being a Blackhawks fan has been more frustrating than being a Cubs fan. LOL

    Yeah, I know. I'm just bitter! :P

There was some serious energy last year that I haven't seen in a long time!
I went to all the Hawk's games when they were playing the Coyotes this last year and there was even more energy during an away game.
You are right though, they are going to be tough in the next few years.

OK phew. As I know you're a big Chicago sports fan, you had me a little nervous there. Hopefully the upcoming years will make up for the last 15 crappy ones.

Right you are. If they could only bring back the old Stadium, then I'd be in heaven. :)

I remember going to Hawks/Redwings games at The Stadium back when I was a kid. Those games were nuts!
Sooooo loud, and there'd be more fights in the crowd than on the ice! I was 11-12 or so...don't really remember and I remember being covered in beer. LOL
I'd always be behind some jackass in a Wings jersey. He'd start talking shit and the next thing I knew I was covered in beer and popcorn. Hahahahaha!

    Ahhhh, those were the days!

Nice addition to the Wrigley resume....Go Wings!!!

Is this Wrigley's third major league sport...baseball, football and hockey?

    Yep.

Now if they could get the Bulls to play there they'd have it all covered. :D

Since when has hockey been a major sport in America??? :)

A real dream come true would be to see the Cubs win it all inside of Wrigley... guess that's just me though.

i'm pissed this game is not going to the rangers! def. had something to do with the out cry from the yankee orgaization/fans that a hockey game will be the last event at the stadium.

but chicago/detroit at wrigley will be real bad ass. can't wait.

This is going to be great. I will be there for sure.

It is good to see the Hawks coming on. I look forward to hating them again -- wait, I take that back, I do hate them, they had their way with the Wings last year. :D

Two of the Original Six in Wrigley, one thing for sure it will be cold and windy. Love the Blackhawks, had one of my favorite old school goalies Tony Esposito.

Cover that 5 hole, however I wish the Bruins could come up with a matchup with let's say the Canadians at FENWAY!

Why is this game not at Soldier Field? More seats and a lot better stadium. Wrigley is a dump and the new Soldier Field is beautiful.
