There is no greater feeling than having the freedom to choose a new leader and having a process that allows for the peaceful transfer of power to newly elected officials!

I am jazzed up and ready for way too much election coverage tonight!!!

If a man speaks in a forest and there is no woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?

I had the pleasure (and pain) of being in the studio for election night Indecision 04! One of the best nights of my life :)

    yes, me too.
there was no way i was getting up extra early to vote, especially b/c i had no idea how bad the lines would be or not. beides, hubby definitely could not vote in the AM, no way can he be late for work...and we always vote together. so tonight after work, hope it's not too bad. we won't get there until about 7:30, so hopefully the after work rush will be over. i've never waited more than 20 minutes to vote...and even that is rare.

I'm not voting because I don't like either of the candidates. I also think it is dumb to: vote for the lesser of two evils, vote against one because you don't like him, blindly voting, always vote Republican or Democrat no matter what, etc. Give me two good choices and I'll vote. I want to be torn between who to vote for. A presidental election shouldn't be an easy decision for anybody. But I'm just a kid, flame away.

i *just* posted this elsewhere over on the porch:

while i DO consider it a RIGHT and a RESPONSIBILITY to vote...i really don't think compulsory voting is 'right.' part of the freedoms of being an american, is the right NOT to vote as well. if one does not want to participate in their government and representation, that is their choice to make imo. however, personally, i fully believe in voting, and i always vote!

:D The land of milk and honey ;)

Actually it is at all Ben and Jerry's in the country. You have to take a picture of yourself wearing your sticker in front of the polling place and show it to them and you get a free scoop of ice cream! You can just use your camera phone and there you go! :D

Shit will always go wrong, but I agree I have no say since I'm not voting.

Yes, after you have brought all this to my attention, I have scheduled the operation for next week.

    HA!
    that's hysterical!
we don't actually have a ben & jerry's closeby in any case...would be a bit of a drive. however, i think that's awesome! :) and in all my years of voting, i have never gotten an 'i voted' sticker.....:(
