  • How many of you cons are going to be rubbing one out during her speech tonight? I know Pat Buchanon will be. Don't worry, you don't have to tell us.

The new darling of the GOP. Too fucking funny. Palin's kids make the Bush daughters look like saints.

When did backstabbing become noble? If she does that to get to be mayor, and then abuse her elected powers on the hated brother-in-law, what can the country expect?

-- Didn't mention the fact that she petition the Department of Interior to ensure that polar bears would not be put on the endangered species list an action which would have severely limited any offshore drilling around Alaska.

-- Didn't mention anything about allowing Japan's continued right to fish Alaskan waters.

-- Didn't mention that bravo of when she imposed additional taxes on the oil companies, they stopped drilling. She may be the governor, but the oil companies own the oil under the land and they reaped HUGE tax benefits from not drilling while the State of Alaska and the federal government still had to pay them royalities.

--Didn't mention Tongass National Forest that was open up to logging.

    --Didn't metion Pebble Mine.

-- Here's a non-issue. Every governor has authority over their their National Guard. When did she have the need to call out the Alaskan National Guard, to control her State Trooper brother-in-law? Has she lobbied for better treatment of Guardsmen returning from Iraq and Afghanistan?

--Alaska's has received millions in earmarks and the pipeline is still in need of repair which the taxpayers will end up paying a large amount along with the increase gas prices. While Alaska continues to get stipends.

why do u keep calling him mchouse?

McCain's continued effort to keep the war in Iraq going and impending invasion of Iran will ENSURE that his administration will WELL outspend Obama's administration.

    To be fair, Newt:
"Well it's stronger than Obama's. I don't know why you guys walk around saying this Baloney! She has a stronger resume than Obama.

    She's been a real mayor. he hasn't.
(Has McCain been a real mayor?)

    She's been a real governor. He hasn't.
(Has McCain been a real govenor?)

She's been in charge of the Alaska National Guard, He hasn't.
(Has McCain been in charge of the Alaskan National Guard?)

She was a wistleblower who defeated an incumbent mayor, Obama has never once shown that kind of courage.
(Has McCain blown the whistle on an incumbent mayor and defeated him/her?)
(ADD: Mayor of Wasilla, AK. As of the 2000 census, its population was 5,469, but the 2005 estimate gave a population of 8,471. Twice as many people will be at the Weezer concert at the Forum (18,000)).

She's a whistleblower who turned in the chairman of her own party and even got him fined twelve thousand dollars.
(Has McCain blown the whistle on the Chairman of the Republican party?)

I've never seen Obama do one thing like that.

She took on the incumbent governor of her own party and then beat him, she then beat a democratic governor in a general election.
(Has McCain beaten an incumbent Governor?)

I don't know of a *single* thing Obama's done except talk and write. And I'd like to to tell me one thing Obama's done?"
    ...
According to Newt... Palin is more qualified to run for President than either Obama or McCain.

It was nice watching Newt yesterday after the reporter asked him about Sarah Palin's husband's DUI charge from 20 years ago (which is complete bullshit of course, that has no bearing), and Newt says, "You know, it's complete baloney. Do you hear the New York Times talking about...." and then proceeded to try and set a record for how many times in one minute you could fit the words "Obama" and "cocaine" into the same sentence.

    Ah, politics.

Nothing and it just goes to show what a terrible combo these two are. It's still gauranteed that Obama will be the next President.

As much as I think the race is still Obama's to lose ... if Palin hits it out of the park tonight, and if McCain gets the kind of convention bump Obama thought he was gonna get but didn't ... the Democrats might be in a little bit of trouble heading down the homestretch.

I'd remind you that McCain is in better shape right now than Bush was at this time in 2004.

    Ah, politics.

If Newt were a man of ethics, he'd be running for President himself. Only reason he didn't was all of the slimy things he's done in his personal life.

based on that record she is even more qualified than mccain himself no ? ..

Take a look at the actual voting record:

Of course that has no bearing here in this discussion. It is irrelevant.

Irrelevant because of your past rants on "Liberals this" and "Democrats that" have no meaning because when you look who actually voted against the FISA Act of 2008, you'll find that it was 98% Liberal Democrats?

The point is that people like yourself and Newt try to explain things away using ridiculous talking point. in Newt's case, it is his ridiculous explanations of all these accomplishments of Sarah Palin to discredit Obama... when, in fact, McCain never did any of those things either... thus, placing the same faults he tries to pin on Obama... on HIS own candidate, McCain.
    ...
In your case, you go on and on about the FISA Act (2008)... taking the other side of obama's vote on the matter... and fail to notice who you are siding with.
You are not only siding with the ACLU, who is vehamently against it... you are also siding with the most Liberal of the Liberal senators (who all cast a Nay vote on the bill):
    Akaka, Daniel (D) HI
    Biden, Joseph (D) DE
    Bingaman, Jeff (D) NM
    Boxer, Barbara (D) CA
