stop human trafficking

*edit* today in Trafalgar Sq was a temporary outside exhibition of human trafficking. It made me sad and disgusted, cause it reminded me about few things i learned some years back. Then i saw they did a petition, which i signed. And so should YOU if you live near Trafalgar Sq get your arse down there and sign the petition or just somehow get involved. Or just sign a petition in a link provided below.
about 3 years i ago i didn't know this was going on. we live in a 21 century, and people still get treated as slaves. They don't even know this is going to happen to them, until it's too late, their passports get confiscated and
they are kept under control!!!

    yep, it's quite disgusting :o . Apparently Ireland's seen as a bit of a haven for it in Europe :( and the government are supposed to be drafting up big laws to deal with it and to prevent it... I'll believe it when I see it though. It's very sad.

    I always think of this whenever I hear people talking about how far we've come as a race. This shows that we're still primitives as far as I'm concerned, we haven't gone anywhere. It's absolutely disgusting.

    sorry, but I generally don't sign stuff... anyone with an ounce of sense knows that this is despicable... a few signatures won't make it even more so. The media have been doing quite a good job over here of highlighting it and forcing our government into making new legislation.

    ive watched a couple of movies with human trafficking as a plot line, and it really disturbs me. The more awareness we raise about it the better. I think the scariest part about it all, is that it is relatively easy to do if you have a gullible person...it could happen to anyone really. And once its happened, it seems quite difficult to escape.
