This thing can go from Cali to NY on 20 gallons of water. Wtf are they waiting for?

    I think this is one of those circumstances where it takes more energy to make than it produces.

    could be. I haven't done much research on this...even so, an electric powered car that runs on water (power source and fuel source) would be quite the step up from anything on the road now.

    "They" are waiting for more quarters where "they" generate 40 BILLION dollar profits.

    Besides aren't we going to run out of water too anyway. Where the hell is California going to get water to fuel cars?

    We certainly need an alternative to gas (and not just because of the prices but because it's killing us all anyway with the emissions) but I prefer having water around to drink.

    I don't know the answer but encouraging people to ride bikes and take PT is a good start. We should pay people not to drive cars :)

    Yes....potable water and the lack of it will be a major problem in the coming decades....in some places it already is a problem.

    i dont think water should be used for anything but crops, drinking water and sanitaray usage (cleaning/toilet/bath/sink)

    He converts H2O into HHO, and then uses the Hydrogen for fuel, with water as the byproduct. Very clean process. Even saltwater can be used, with no adverse affects on the fuel cell.

    I feel that food and water should be off limits for use as fuel for anything but living beings though.

    i'd be curious if the exhaust was steam, so essentially it would be releasing H2O back into the atmosphere and thus there was no loss in the water supply.

    could turn LA into a pretty muggy place, but i suppose thats better than smog ;)

    Ive never understood why saltwater/oceanwater is not a viable source of water.

    In survival class we took salt water boiled it and captures the steam in plastic containers and it was totally salt free.

    Oh it totally is. It bugs me when people act like there is a "shortage" of water. There isn't, there is only a shortage of cheap water. Hell they convert human waste (urine) into drinking water on the international space station so you can pretty much get drinking water from anything that contains water, it is just a matter of how much you are willing to pay for it.

    Because you have to burn some type of fuel to turn the water into steam...and you have to have the infrastructure to capture the steam. The burning fuel will create emissions...unless you use nuclear power which has its own set of problems.

    Yes, you could heat the water by electricity...but the electricity has be generated in some form....most likely by burning coal...thus, creating emissions.
