Total hypothetical but someone boots Dubya and gives you the presidency for the remainder of his term. What would you do?

    1.cut defense spending by half
    2.save 11 million lives a year with the money saved(figures factual according to the UN)
    3.repeal the patriot act
    4.start war crimes tribunal against George and his cronies
    5.pay repatriations for all the damage done in Iraq and Afghanistan
    6. pull the troops out of Saudi Arabia, next to Mecca, the muslims holiest site, and one of the reasons their so pissed.
    7. cease all support of Israel-another reason terrorists exist
    8. stop supporting dictatorships and military juntas, cease arming tyrannies, stop funding the cia,
    9.then i'd sincerely apologize to all the countries we've wrecked over the years....and pay them for the damage done.
    10.institute socialized health care
    11.fund education
    12. end corporate handouts.
    13. declare martial law and expel 90% of the house and senate.
    14. probably be assassinated.

    Pull the troops out of Iraq, use the money for social programs here. Legalize gay marriage. Tell congress and the senate to get off their ass and do something useful (flag burning amendment doesn't count as useful). Seperate church and state. Rebuild New Orleans. Cut NASA spending.

    30,000 US troops stationed in Saudi Arabia goes a long way towards pissing of a lot of Arabs...that and continued diplomatic and military support for Israel.

    The US has 700+ military bases around the world...it took the Romans 28 (I believe) to control the middles east-we have that many their now-close to anyway.

    well I knew there were troops in Saudi, I just didn't know they were anywhere near Mecca, which is in the western part of the Arabian Peninsula. I thought the troops were in the northeastern Part of the peninsula.

    I tell you what, they weren't complaining back in 1990-1991...

    Eliminate the Department of Education.
    Eliminate the IRS while eliminating our current tax format for a more friendly consumption tax.
    Privatize NASA.
    Reduce military spending.
    Eliminate the Missle Defense Shield program.
    Repeal the Patriot Act.
    Introduce more funding for alternate energy research.
    Look to the UN and NATO to aid in rebuilding Iraq and setting the quickest possible withdrawl of our forces.

    I would use my presidental powers granted to my by the patriot act to:

    -make school prayer maditory..of course only the good kind...
    -outlaw abortion...that will make people stop having sex...
    -invade every country that hates freedom and our way of life....
    -do away with taxes for the top 1% of the US...
    -make sure everyone know Social Security is a goner, yet make workers continue to pay into this system...
    -blame liberals for all of the above....

    Flat tax which will eventually increase revenues
    Balance the budget
    Get rid of special interests
    Dismantle psy-ops
    Change our military and our strategies to deal with the current world
    Create competive educational system, get rid of the teacher's unions
    Strategy to create less waste and pollution per capita
    Startegy to create less demand for fuel

    Make a law that Commy can never be President :)

    The president doesn't really have all those powers. Maybe you need to think about that the next time you blame Bush.
    The only people we should try to get even with...
