Yea, except when you see that sign that says "Service Station 66 km" and your dying for coffee and it only lists "McDonalds".I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. Your nature is to do harm, mine is to love truth, and to make it public in spite of you. - Voltaire0 -
all joking aside Tim Horton's food is quite nasty.Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

I like hot chocolate in my coffee, too! But I'm a sugar freak. When I'm at home, I pour those Swiss Miss hot cocoa packs into my coffee.
If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they'll kill you.

angelica wrote:I actually love Starbucks, as unpopular as it is to say that on this board. Although I do have to take the top off of the chocolate powder they have and dump a bunch into my coffee before it's to my liking.
And I've been corrected, there is only 3 Tim Hortons in the one area I referred to. Apparently I was imagining one.
maybe starbucks isn't popular, but it's no different then any other place, timmies is now owned by wendy's, it's not even canadian anymore, and their coffee sucks (imo). starbucks actually uses all fair trade coffee, usually from big plantations, but once a month they do a specialty day where they 'showcase' fair trade from smaller plantations.
not sure why timmies is so popular in ontario, maybe just 'cause there aren't any other coffee stops along the highway. but no drive out of the city is complete without a stop at timmies, and tehre is usually one on each side of the street so that you don't have to turn your car around, come on ppl, how much effort do you want me to put into getting my fat injected fried things? No problem can be solved from the same consciousness that created it.

I've been a huge sugar freak, so I've had to get a handle on that.Abookamongstthemany wrote:I like hot chocolate in my coffee, too! But I'm a sugar freak. When I'm at home, I pour those Swiss Miss hot cocoa packs into my coffee.

I've also been known to add hot chocolate to my coffee at home. Eventually I gave up on it at home (and adding sugar to things) and now I'll just have it when I'm out, for special occasions. Caffeine, too.
The Tim Hortons on both sides of the street IS handy!tara wrote:maybe starbucks isn't popular, but it's no different then any other place, timmies is now owned by wendy's, it's not even canadian anymore, and their coffee sucks (imo). starbucks actually uses all fair trade coffee, usually from big plantations, but once a month they do a specialty day where they 'showcase' fair trade from smaller plantations.

i've heard this too... that's why i don't mind spending the $$ on starbucks every so often.....
at Tim's, i usually only drink tea.... XL, bag in, black. mmmm....
oh, and a toasted sesame bagel with cheddar....
there's something about Tim's that makes a long car ride better... i don't know why....
oh! also, i keep the double cup from my teas, and use them to make tea or ho-cho at work... sometimes even homemade stuff tastes better out of a Tim's cup... haha.... strange phenomenon....

I get an Everything Bagel with Herb and Garlic Cream Cheese and Cucumbers.
And I keep the double cups too! But my daughter likes to use them for her kitchen set.Cock Fight.0 -
speaking of Tim Horton cups, my sister when drunk used to steal Tim Horton mugs and sugar cannisters. We used to serve our guests coffee in Tim Horton mugs. It was kinda funny. Oh there are also stories of how my sister used to steal glasses from bars in her baggy 80's sweaters back then. One night, a friend was giving her a piggy-back ride out of the bar and dropped her, and in front of the bouncers, there was a loud *CRASH* sound! It was hysterical. Ah, the good old days......and not that I condone stealing...."The opposite of a fact is falsehood, but the opposite of one profound truth may very well be another profound truth." ~ Niels Bohr

I didnt know about this thread until now, so I must jump in!
I get a large double double, Ive cut back to only 2 coffees a day. Mind you some days I dont always follow that rule! As a trainer I should really know better but when I get asked if Im really drinking coffee I just lie and say no its decaf lol.
What is the steeped tea like? Im considering going back to tea, lately for some reason Ive had a craving for it.
Now about how close together Tim's is, I have 3 one on block, which is less than 5 mins from my house
Im a happy camper!
Everytime I hear Starbucks, I think of someone ordering a large frappicino with extra latte', whipped cream, and a bit of chocolate sprinkled on top. I just want a double double please!
I must admit, the odd time Williams is good coffee, and they take debit
