I had the pleasure of seeing them live late last year in Ft. Lauderdale. They are a GREAT rock N Roll band. I think this will be one of the better opening bands you'll see.

    Ragoo!!
“I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version.”
  • I was pumped when I started this thread and after reading all your responses I am even more excited. I wish it was June 11th. PJ concert days are one of my favorite type of days.

The bucket, on call, are just a couple. I like them more now then from when I saw them which is a shame.

And then the new song which is the song for that Ford Edge commercial or whatever. I don't know its name but that one is good too. Singer has a pretty interesting voice.

  • Check out the album "Aha Shake Heartbreak". It blew my mind.

"Because of the Times" is also really good, but I would hold back on that until you're feeling Aha Shake Heartbreak.

Also, find the song "Trani". This is a must. They close their shows with it and it seriously rocks.

I am so pumped for this show. In 06 it was MMJ opening, now it's one of my other top 3 artists! Waaaah

I saw KOL last summer at Bumbershoot- I was in the first row!
I had never seen them before or even heard their music apart from one song that Ed sang with them last year at Lolla. ( which I heard on youtube)

They are great- I have the live from Soho mp3s through itunes also Because of the Times.

I throughly recommend them- I would go see them by themselves- they are old school rock and roll & put on a great show.

Unfortunately, Ed does come out and sing with KOL on one of their horrible, horrible songs.

Sorry, KOL fans, I find them an extremely crappy band.

Only one I ever heard is Slow Night, So Long but I liked it. So maybe they have a lot more songs that people who know a lot about them are better?

Don't be sorry for being ill-informed and ignorant. You obviously haven’t really listened to them or seen them live to make that sort of outlandish comment.
They are one of the best live rock bands to grace the stage in a long time saw them in Melbourne 2006 when they supported Pearl Jam and they were brilliant. They are a real class act.

Think Trani is great, wait to you hear Fans, Taper Jean Girl, California Waiting, Pistol of Fire or even Milk. These guys rock, but they don't get much respect even in thier own backyard.

Best band I have heard in the last 5 years!! love' em to death..

    Trani live is just sick!!!

Slow Night, So Long great tune also...

Milk another great tune as is True Love Way

Very impressive lyrics to "Soft" which happens to be one of my favorite songs by them....

they have another song which is not on any of the 3 albums called " Wicker Chair" that I just need to listen to everyday...Anyone who likes them should look up that song on you tube and tell me what you think..

buy all three of their albums.
    definitely the third and second.

ed will most likely come out and sing "slow night so long" w/ KOL, as he has most every time they've shared a bill together.

You've got to be kidding me! Slow Night, So Long is a bad song? KOL is one of the best bands around right now.
