I just want all fans and everyone to know how pumped I am for this show. It will be my first PJ show since 2005 and my first KOL show ever. Anyone have any idea if they ever grace the stage at the same time?

taper jean girl
The bucket
Knocked up
charmer
...just to name a few
Anyway, he tore up a couple tamborines and rocked out on lyrics too.
Sweet show and I'm so pissed I'm missing the upcoming dates. Just can't justify flying to the east coast from Co Springs when it's widely rumored this tour will continue after this. Here's to hoping Kat is just playing word games with "planned".
Don't miss KoL. Check out the entire Because of the Times album to start; I really like McFearless. It's more rock-like. Aha Shake Heartbreak is a little more alternative and takes awhile to get used to. Caleb's voice is good, but definitely original.
Have fun for me!
aaaagh .... totally not my experience.
Here's a youtube of EV with KOL ... Slow Night, So Long ... such a great tune.

All three albums are great ... they're a straight forward kick ass rock band with a southern feel ... but nothing too twangy or .38 Special-ish.
KOL puts on a *great* show.
Albums -
Youth and Young Manhood - Both "Red Morning Light" and "Molly's Chambers" have been used recently in commercials (even though the songs are on the older side for these guys) ... youtube would have them. Joe's Head and Happy Alone, other good tunes on this album. California Waiting, love that tune.
Aha Shake Heartbreak - the afore mentioned "Slow Night, So Long" fantastic closing tune ... The Bucket, probably the most commercial of tunes on this album. Soft, Taper Jean Girl, King of the Rodeo ... other standouts.
Because of the Times - On Call, the song that "broke" them into the mainstream ... and really, not one of my faves. The lead off song on this album, Knocked Up ... love it, beautiful sounding guitar. My Party makes you shake your ass and Charmer rips my face off ... love that tune.

Try all three albums. Seriously, as diverse as they are, you'll find completely different stuff that you like on each.
Molly's Chambers - selling Jetta

sooooooooooooooooold it to the farmer oh no!
don't sleep on Ted Leo, love him just as much, if not more, than KOL!

I'm so bummed they're not doing any of the MSG/Mansfield dates.
Sure, they may be a bit statue-like on stage, but they put on a great show. Their set at Lolla was great.
Most people here have hit on the albums. All three are terriffic. From the newest album, check out Fans or Black Thumbnail.....definitely two great rock songs. The whole album is fantastic.
Ted Leo .... while I'll admit an arena like MSG is going to be a bit big for him, I'm tellin' ya, he's pretty awsome .... his live shows rock.

KOL best ever opener for PJ
The bucket, on call, are just a couple. I like them more now then from when I saw them which is a shame.

"Because of the Times" is also really good, but I would hold back on that until you're feeling Aha Shake Heartbreak.
Also, find the song "Trani". This is a must. They close their shows with it and it seriously rocks.
I am so pumped for this show. In 06 it was MMJ opening, now it's one of my other top 3 artists! Waaaah
Trani. Wow. I cannot begin to explain how amazing this song is live.
Yeah. When it kicks in that last time and they all lose it. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
I had never seen them before or even heard their music apart from one song that Ed sang with them last year at Lolla. ( which I heard on youtube)
They are great- I have the live from Soho mp3s through itunes also Because of the Times.
I throughly recommend them- I would go see them by themselves- they are old school rock and roll & put on a great show.
