    You know what I would say? I'd say, "Thanx, bud... but, you know what? I'm pretty comfortable over here in sunny Orange County, California... How 'bout you go save the poor bastards in Darfur and places like that, first? I mean... no disrespect... you can come and get me later, because i DO want to go... but, those poor saps over there (and a million other places in this world) are WAAAAY worse off than me. Come get me on the return trip... I'll be waiting.
    Oh... and you want a beer?"

    In other words... I've decided to follow Jesus's teaching and try to live my life in the manner of which He spoke... not in the manner of the religions that speak in His name. I am not going to sit around, waiting for the Second Coming of Jesus to save me... instead, I have decided to save myself by following His guidance, seeing His second coming as already come in the act my life trying to follow in His footsteps. Sure, I know there is no way I can be like Jesus.... but, I can do my best to follow teachings.
    And His teachings leads me to believe that He will come to save the peole who are suffering in the world... even the ones that don't believe in Him. Not those of us living in america. To me... that would have been like Jesus saving the people of Rome's souls, before the souls of the people of Israel.

    THAT is the person who would be shocked if they were to find out Jesus is a middle eastern man.

    i live right by you in St. Louis and i get that some people's mentality is to "kill all middle easterners" but thats because of what happened on 9-11...same thing happened during the Vietnam War and the sentiment was felt in all the other wars, not that it should be condoned but thats how it is..some people feel threatened by middle easterners after 9-11 and have become suspect of all of them...call it racism or paranoia, these are the times we live in, right or wrong

    Frankly, I think those people are ignorant dumbasses who'd use any excuse to hide behind their racism.
