So I got to thinking last night about Jesus

How many hearts would be broken in this country if people realized Jesus was middle eastern? It's weird that we have this picture of him painted in our head of a white guy w/ a beard, but in fact he was a middle eastern man, kind of like seeing different cultures version of Santa Clause.

I really wonder if Jesus (real or not, my jury is still out on this one) were to come back and just walk around and try to board an airplane...would he get "randomly selected" for further inspection.

Just me thinking out loud on here.

    i think most realize he was born near Jerusalem which is in the middle east.

    He very well may get randomly selected...but what does that have to do with anything?

    It doesn't have anything to do with anything. I think it is odd that the same right wing crazies who hate anything to come from the middle east would be in shock when they found out that Jesus looked like the very men they hate.

    Like I said earlier, just thinking out loud.

    Why would Jesus get on a plane? Good question.

    We're all human. Some people have dark skin, some people have light skin. Some people have big noses, some people are short, some are tall... Jesus happened to be from a Jewish background.

    Jesus was jewish and the "crazies that are killing people with bombs are muslim. even if your not into religion its a big difference.

    Doesn't really matter (although i agree, that some would, unfortunately have a problem with it), but, since we're splitting hairs, Jesus was more than likely a Black dude. Probably looked more like Bob Marley than Osama Bin Laden.

    This is a great question. SAdly people seem to be getting side-tracked on the plane thing.
    I think you make a very good point that Jesus was Middle EAstern/Arabic. Islam did not exist at that time, so making distinctions between Jews and Muslims is not relevant to this question.

    Mary, also, is always portrayed as being very white faced with a delicate round face and a small child-like nose. In reality, she would have been quite dark-skinned, and probably very brunette with a full head of curly black hair and a typical nose for the region.

    I have never thought about this before. Full points for objective thinking.

    he wouldn't make it on a plane anyway he'd be detained for interrogation for ever and can you imagine the look on the other passengers faces as this robed middle eastern jesus tries to board a plane or even enter the airport?

    that is seriously one of the most uneducated comments i have ever read and def something that comes from a leftist mouth....

    im on neither end of the spectrum (left/right) and i have never heard anyone on the right deny that Jesus came from the middle east...if they did well they would be proven wrong in no time

    all the middle eastern muslims in a hury to meet allah should.. instead of killing innocent people with roadside bombs,suicide bombings, terrorist acts, ect.. ect.. should all join hands put suicide vests on and walk hand in hand peacefully into a wide open area of the desert form into one mass circle and detonate themselves. then i'd have respect for them and the world might be a little more peaceful.
