    I think scubascott made a good point. If Iran really wanted to destroy the US or Israel is has the ability to do so with force but through economics. Iran has the 3rd or 4th largest oil reserve in the world as well as natural gas. Iran also has very close ties to Venezuela, who has the 5th or 6th largest oil reserve in the world. Want to bring about the collapse of the US, change to petro currency from the dollar to the euro and work with Venezuela to do the same. Our economy may not crumble but it sure as hell would be hurting.

    maybe that would spur on innovations in finding a replacement to oil. O how nice that would be.

    It would but in the interm our economy would take a huge hit.
