PS3: The People Of This Country Are Stupid

Whatever, Xbox 360 is so much better anyways.
Seriously though, people are freakin' stupid as fuck. Its not like this is some one time release, there will be millions of these things out there eventually. To shoot (which is an attempt to murder) another human being over a device like this is seriously disturbing. Our world is fucked.0 -

Most of us can afford a ps3 with or without a tax cut.
Don't hate resourceful people. Say if someone spends their food stamps on a ps3 and sells for 3 times as much. Why not do it? That is going to help the family more than Uncle Sam is.NERDS!0 -
This is not a commentary on americans or the "end of the world".
A popular Christmas gift is drawing lines, and a couple idiots are causing trouble? OH MY GOD!! AMERICANS ARE SO STUPID.
Its something people want. Demand outweighs supply. A couple thousand college kids with nothing to do decided to spend a night or two waiting for something they really want. Ive camped out for concert tickets, does that make me weird or have poor priorities?0 -
Video games are freaking addictive.0

Cosmo wrote:Personally, I think it's a little foolish... to HAVE to have it right now. You know that in January, you can pick one up for less than list at the local Target Store. If I really want one... I can wait til it all dies down and pick one up then.
yeah, but then your friends will all have it before you and you'll be the weakest link in the gaming group at divide and conquer (or whatever military tactics games those kids that couldnt even pass a physical play to feel manly) and your respect and standing within the nerd community will drop

I did read the whole post, even the whole thread before I was even interested in wrinting a reply. In the first place, 'cause I didn't even know what a PS3 was, I was just trying to understand the reason of the title "the people of this country are stupid".Ebizzie wrote:We in the great wealth accumulator also pride ourselves on our ability to read an entire post. Perhaps if you moved to the great wealth accumulator, not only would you get to enjoy our great wealth but also have noticed I said my comment was made "tongue-in-cheek" (sarcasm, joking).
I'm sorry that I didn't understand the "tongue-in-cheek" expression, I'm an spanish speaker, so I guess it`s OK if I miss some of those very very american expressions, isn't it? And one of the main reasons for me to read posts at this pit is also to get to learn some more english.
At last, but not least
, I was talking about some "general" situation, even when I quoted your particular post. And if you wrote that with sarcarsm, then it was hilarious men!!!
Sorry for the missunderstood, I know it seemed like if I was taking it on you... Sorry for that.
Does anyone want to teach me some american expressions?.Uno es dueño de lo que calla

This was a very, very, very small percentage of morons. It's hardly a representation of this country. The only people we should try to get even with...

It's not that it is a representation of this country and it's people, it's that it's a disturbing element amongst other disturbing elements within our American culture.
It's a small element, but a very telling one.0 -

What a sad git. Some people are just to Materialistic these days.Keep on rockin in the free world!!!!
The economy has polarized to the point where the wealthiest 10% now own 85% of the nation’s wealth. Never before have the bottom 90% been so highly indebted, so dependent on the wealthy.0 -
You think people who don't cause violence on those waiting in line to buy a game system are morons?jlew24asu wrote:its the people who think otherwise, who I consider moronsThe only people we should try to get even with...

Yeah... I saw a line of about 3 tents outside a Target Store in Long Beach on Wednesday. I thought it was some sort of protest or something. Then, I heard all of the stuff on the radio news about it.
I will never understand the mentality of HAVING to have something first. To me, it doesn't make them appear cool or anything... if anything, it makes them appear kinda stupid. Remember the 'Tickle Me Elmos' of a few years back? To pay 200 bucks for a 20 dollar piece of shit that is going to annoy you til the damn batteries die... kinda stupid in my book.
Yeah there was a big craze in Britain and Ireland over the Buzz Lightyear toys a while back, the thing ratailed at around £20 and sold for up to £500 because of the demand, but two weeks after Christams noone even mentioned the name.

(you dont think it represents the entire population.) people who do are idiots.
Gotcha. What we have here is a failure to communicate!
