rockford wrote:Sounds good- I'll block off the evening before the show for the BBQ. I just bought a house a bit up the hill from Alki, and David and Lisa are a short walk away from me too, so this won't be too hard.
I think the hardest thing about throwing the BBQ in the past was getting people directions to the beach after they got lost on Harbor Island somewhere... This seems like it'd be mostly a local Seattle crowd, so that should be less of a problem.

I hope you are including me while saying "local Seattle crowd" haha...I desire peace where I live

We got lost last year and missed the beach party completely!
So yeah... I'll MapQuest in advance (though I think MapQuest was partially the culprit of pointing us the wrong way!) but additional directions would be appreciated

Yeah, yeah, yeah... Doesn't everyone? Y'all know that's the mayor's 'hood, right? That brings its coolness quotient down quite a bit. However, maybe since you (sennin) & jamainiac have moved there it's leveled out.
If the Elliott Bay Water Taxi isn't up and running by then, I may walk over there. Depending on the weather, it looks like we'll some nice late sunlight that time of year - not so much with the moonlight, though.

Not so much - and I love a good walk. The bus or cab can saved for the way home to mix things up.rockford wrote:Here's the old thread with directions...

Looking at the old thread left me with a couple of questions. Were you all near the comfort station? Also, is this a SOBER meet-up since alcohol is not allowed at Seattle Parks without special permission?Walking can be a real trip

I'll take responsibility to get there early and claim our spot. Shooting for a firepit only on the beach, not a picnic site with a bbq. We can cook at the pit. Thoughts?"Music, for me, was fucking heroin." eV (nothing Ed has said is more true for me personally than this quote)

We'll need to find a metal grate and maybe a few sticks for hotdogs/marshmellos.
