also..that being said...where did this concept of the circle come from... and whats the idea behind it
Smartass comment was a joke of course. I'm not rejecting reality, but tell me all about the beginning of circles... I would like enlightenment on this.
When did they start?
What do they truely represent?
What did the first circle look like?
I always thought the circle started in the center with a point and grew from there. Literally, I get where you are coming from, but c'mon. Expand your philosophy a bit. Every thread seems to degrade into an argument that had nothing to to with the topic. This thread should not degrade into a debate over the validity of circles. Start a new one on circles. Peace my friend. (all in good humor)I want to point out that people who seem to have no power, whether working people, people of color, or women -- once they organize and protest and create movements -- have a voice no government can suppress. the other 2 are for your own enjoyment.

Q: What is the discrepancy between the rich and the poor? A: How much energy they each have available. Without enough energy available to everyone you (the rich) can manufacture a lack of anything"
I like the way this guy talks.
Some of his present day predictions are a bit off though. Is +/- a few years a big deal?
not sure... it does get a little out there at the very end with the question and answer period. Prior to that....quite awesome.

Hahaha
The calender was created for agricultural reasons. To support our growth of stuffs. It's the other way around. The calender doesn't cause our materialism, we do, it's the nature of nature.I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. Your nature is to do harm, mine is to love truth, and to make it public in spite of you. - Voltaire0 -

Straight up though that pyramid time period thing was freaky as hell.

All civilizations have had theories like this. It's our power as humans to determine cause and effect which leads us to question and theorize about the origins of all things (a.k.a the causes).I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. It does seem to coincide with all the major developments in mankind.
It's about 3 hours to watch, but it's not what you expect really. A lot of it is real world modern day relation.
There is a lot of sense to what he is saying, regardless of the calendar. I found it quite thought provoking in the deterministic universe sense.Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,

One calendar was agricultural - The Haab-365 days. Another was prophetic - the Tun - 360 days Another astrological-The Tzolkin-260 days. The mayans had one of the most accurate time keeping systems of any recordable civilization known to date. Many experts agree on this. If they were so accurate with one, then it is conceivably possible they were accurate with the other. I follow the Tzolkin daily and have for a few years now. It is pretty accurate to me personally. Admittedly, that may be my own self-determinism. I could be completely wrong. But it's fun.I want to point out that people who seem to have no power, whether working people, people of color, or women -- once they organize and protest and create movements -- have a voice no government can suppress. I don't agree with the first 5 minutes. Their definition of conscious: being conscious of being conscious.
Sorry, that is circular.
Their definition of calendar: the center of civilization.

I have a hard time accepting logic from one who's "logic" tells us that human intelligence can be seen in a picture in a book of the brain,
then also repeatedly, dogmatically tells us something any 5 or 6 year old with a good kindergarten teacher might say,
"I wooden have any intewwigenge if i didn't have a bwain."

Ha, at least your fictitious 5 year old get something right that you get wrong. Human intelligence and consciousness has an underlying cause. It's pretty obvious, isn't it?I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. I don't know what your cause is, nope.

There are many circles that exist as complete circles in nature.

Neither did I. In fact I was rolling my eyes at that point also.

I just got through with watching both parts.. VERY interesting stuff! The calander basically starts when scientists think the big bang began and ends on October 28th 2011.. I'm kind of scared to see what we have in store. :eek:0
