I would rather watch paint dry. Not one of the Democratic canidadtes excites me. I'll wait for Tuesday's Republican debate to see if Ron Paul puts the smack down on Guiliani.

Me too! I love his communication skills...for example, he says "as the President of the United States..." at the drop of a hat and on just about every topic, which is utilizing the power of suggestion. He's implanting the idea of him as the President in people's minds.

Nope not even for that. The Democrats offer much of the same shit every year. None of them have any intentions to do what needs to be done to fix our federal government. Their answer for an over grown inept government is more government. I may agree with them on many other issues but untill I see a Democrat fight for a large reduction in the size and scope of our federal government they will never get my vote.

Funny comment, and one that got the biggest laugh of the night:

Interesting.
He definitely stood up more in this debate.

What I like about Biden is that he is more of no-bullshit kind of politician.

My impression of last nights debate...not in any order/ranking

1) Dennis Kucinich - was his normal self. He sticks to his guns (or lack of guns). Wants to be the Peace President that never uses the military. While his intentions are good, that makes him look very weak next to the other candidates. He seems like he could be used and abused. His other opinions make him seem like he should be running as the Socialist party candidate.

2) Joe Biden - he certainly took a stand on everything and sounded very convinced of his own positions. He used the Democratic process as an excuse to abandon your views and morals. Thsi is probably true much of the time but it also made him seem too much like a Washington insider (as he is).

3) Chris Dodd - seemed a little disjointed to me. Trying to focus on providing security first and foremost. I don't think he came across very well.

4) Mike Gravel - was the most honest in giving his answers...like Dennis...probably because they know they have no shot to win. I liked the guys manner and thought he made some terrific points. It's funny, he had the comment of the night in my opinion and I've already forgotten what it was.

5) Bill richardson - he let me down. I was looking forward to hearing him but he did not do well I don't think. He rambled, seemed disjointed and wasn't clear. He might as well save his money and head back to New Mexico where he has been a very good governor.

6) Hillary Clinton - presented herself very well. Was very focused on attacking Bush and republicans, trying to stay above the fray of cutting down her Dems. Obviously disagrees with John edwards a bunch, highlighted wehn they were discussing whether or not "the War on Terror" i simple a bumper sticker. She actualyl said we are safer now then we were. A little boring debate for her I think, but then again I don't like her ans was trying my hardest to watch without a bias.

7) Barrack Obama - stumbled a bit at times. He is a very clear speaker when focused. He has laid out specific plans which is good (even if you don't like them). He seemed to show his inexperience a little, which can be good if taken as being 'fresh', but it seemed a little more 'green' to me.

8) John Edwards - I'm not a big fan...but I thought he won the debate. He was clear, forceful, complimentary at times, seemed to be well aware of everything and have specifics in mind. He 'attacked' CLinton and Obama for their votes against the funding without really speaking about it. Called it out for what it was, a political move on both their parts. Very impressive night for John....scary good in my opinion.


As far as issues go...the immigration plan gets me fired up...it says if you can do something illegal and get away with it for long enough, we'll eventually just forget about it. National Health care done right would be good...some of the ideas last night scare me though as I don't want to be a socialist country.

Also, while it sounds nice and easy, it pisses me off that they always talk abotu taking away the tax cuts from the rich...why are they 2nd class citizend to the politicians? It's because there aren't enough of them to vote against them. Kinda like using cigarette taxes...it just dumb, but oh well.
