WARNING- If you're not one of the typical MT imbeciles this will depress the shit out of you.

    The Second Holocaust
    By BENNY MORRIS
    January 22, 2007

The second Holocaust will not be like the first. .

You know what is sad about this story? The fact that you should have said WTF is he talking about. His story has no comparison to the original Holocaust event and yet, without blinking an eye, you accepted it as a comparative event. If the people in the camps had died just from bombings, they would have received no more recognition than the millions of people that died all across Europe, America, Asia, Africa, the Pacific, etc. in WWII.

Israel is no longer a child looking for a home, she's a rich, manipulative bitch who is capable of taking care of herself. Here's the deal, Israel had a part in this Iraqi mess, Lebanon didn't work and the attack on Iran's Consulate didn't work. According to Bush, our bed is made, so spare us the stories. Those aircraft carriers don't come cheap.

HERE'S A BETTER WARNING- If you're not one of the typical MT imbeciles you'll respect the Holocaust for what it was and not let it be demeaned in order to promote someone else's agenda. Try remembering the names of the countries that didn't let that ship into port and how many died in sight of their new home.
SIN EATERS--We take the moral excrement we find in this equation and we bury it down deep inside of us so that the rest of our case can stay pure. That is the job. We are morally indefensible and absolutely necessary.

What? I'm saying this article is garbage. What does that have to do with hating Israel or Jews? Can't I be critical of an authored work without hating on Israel or Jews? Give me a fucking break, clown.

he is not at all concerned about the wrath of the west. I saw a good documentary about Iran. they are a very arrogant country. and I kind of agree. they should be. civilization practically started there and now USA is gonna bully them around? they arent having it. they will stand up and fight the US no matter what the cost. do you remember how they fought Iraq to a stalemate? they recruited about 1,000,000 young boys and girls to be martyrs.

arrogant like Japan during WWII? History has proven that a couple of bombs can bend the knee of any country. If Iran did in fact launch a nuclear attack on Israel, the US would respond with a nuclear attack on Iran that would turn the entire country into a field of glass. Their attack on Israel would be very very short lived.

Must be proud to have weapons that can kill thousands instantly....

Also Iran will never launch attacks on Israel....the leader is smarter than that....

edit : Just thought I'd add that situations are extremely depressing all over the world. If you want numbers I'll give you the 25+ million africans HIV positive we don't want to see, the 2,5+ million people dying of malaria in the world no one cares about, the 24 000 people dying of hunger every day we could give a shit about while tossing unbought food. These people are dying now.
And you know what? I keep thinking maybe we can do something about it, I honestly think that people and organisation on an international level try to adress these issues little by little. It's for the same reasons I believe no one will use nuclear weapons, I think some people actually care about others and try to adress the nuclear issue as well. I don't believe everyone just gave up however depressing the issues, if you want to do something constructive about it.

Giving a guy enough credit that he is not stupid enough to destory his entire country is not loving the guy. What's interesting is that you assume people love him and try to put anyone who doesn't think like you into this category every chance you get.

hey butterball, when the president of a country says he wants another country wiped off the map, I'll take his word for it. especially when there is deep seeded hatred for that country.

  • Saying Iran will cause a second holocaust is about as stupid as comparing Bush to Hitler.

If there is anything going on even close to the Holocaust, it is what is happening in Darfur... But of course their aren't any resources that we need in Darfur, so we will pretty much turn our backs while that genocide is going on.

It's simple. Same reason as Britain and France can have them. We know they wont be used against US genius. And we also can have complete confidence that Israel has no rogue Islamic elements willing to sell or give nuclear weapons to terrorists. Simple enough?

It's because you are not informed. If you were correct on anything id agree. But to call a country you know nothing about a theocracy just shows the levels of your ignorance. Have any of you armchair middle east experts even been to the region? Ever been to Israel? If not, id suggest you shut the fuck up. Your making yourself looks stupid. Israel is by no means a theocracy. Its citizens are primarily Jewish. But that does not make it a democracy. Is Italy a theocracy because all Italians are Catholic and the Pope is in Rome?

    Pope is in Rome?

The Pope is in the Vatican which is technically not part of Italy. Just thought I would throw that out there since we are trying to stick to the facts.

Maybe not at our request, but at least with our support...

    From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._support_for_Iraq_during_the_Iran-Iraq_war

On 9 June, 1992, Ted Koppel reported on ABC's Nightline that "It is becoming increasingly clear that George Bush Sr., operating largely behind the scenes throughout the 1980s, initiated and supported much of the financing, intelligence, and military help that built Saddam's Iraq into [an aggressive power]" and "Reagan/Bush administrations permitted — and frequently encouraged — the flow of money, agricultural credits, dual-use technology, chemicals, and weapons to Iraq.”

Hey 16 year old, Despots do this sort of crap all the time. Its called propaganda. He may want to attack, but there's no way he will do it. Its just a rallying cry to bolster Iranian conservatives. Iran is a divided place, and ahemenijad is keeping his base rallied. But he won't do it for the same reason that Russia and the states never did it. Mutually assured destruction. There's a will, obviously, but there is also reality, and reality is a bitch. There's no way they will do it with the USA in existence, and Israel will nuke em right back if they are attacked anyways. The only way it could happen is if everyone involved chose to go out in one massive blaze of glory. That's just not going to happen. He may want it, but its not going to happen.

I actually agree with this. The bigger concern is his ability to slip a nuke or two to terrorists. That is something we should all be concerned about. If your not, your just in abject denial. From a strategic standpoint no Arab country would benefit from a nuclear strike on Israel unless it were on Tel Aviv alone. They would never strike Jerusalem because it is holy to them. And the place is tiny. For god's sake the whole country can be driven from one end to the next in 7 hours. Any attack on Israel would surely also kill tens of thousands of Arabs or more.
