once the war machine kicks up everyone scrambles madly for their piece....unfortunately not their peace.Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,

Nice stats... Haliburton knows what's coming (inquiries). That's probably why they got the fuck out of dodge..Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

i posted a link to yahoo finance a while back...during the push for war halliburton's stock was around $10...until a few months ago when their stock split 2:1 it was at mid $70's-80...now, after the split it's still in the high $30's...standin above the crowd

I'm a fairly bright guy, and I'm open-minded as well. A spade is a spade. Bush is one of the worst presidents in the history of our country, let alone one of the worst world leaders of all time. Mistake after mistake has been made in Iraq, and those mistakes have been covered up by smug, condecending lies and avoidance. Some of the actions of our politicians on both sides is down right criminal, and you can try Bush first for all I care.
But unless some new evidence comes to light, there is no way you're going to convince me that America has not, overall, acted nobly and with a good moral purpose (that serves all of humanity not just the US) in Iraq.
i hink specifics answered it perfectly near the top of the 2nd page.
show me the examples of the us attacking/overthrowing/occupying...a country to spread democracy
b/c i can show you things like cheney saying the same bs about panama that he did iraq...they were a threat to our national security, blah blah blah...then afterwards when ppl ask how it changes to 'well, we took a bad man out of power and liberated a bunch of ppl! (while killing thousands of civillians in the process)'
there's a pretty long list if you'd like me to continue?
what's more, i can introduce as evidence this administrations own words...all the talk was about threats to our national security, mudhroom clouds, they were pals w/ al qaeda, making up lies about iaea reports saying they were 6 months away from a nuke....what would be absent would be 'let's do it to free the poor iraqis!'
i can even show you bush saying in 2000 how our military is not for nation building and criticized gore and clinton for kosovo saying that's not our job or our troops
look at how many have died, look at how many don't have stable electricity or clean water, look at all the violence...then look at our past...look at how much money certain ppl are making from this while it seems the more common ppl (the troops, iraqis, us taxpayers...)...can you show me any evidence making the case this was all some grand humanitarian crusade??standin above the crowd
