i hear this alot... the people that dont have a chance are the republicans... mickey mouse would win the general election against this batch of republican whacko's

seriously folks... why is everyone assuming Hillary couldnt win the general election? because republicans hate her for no reason? is that the only reason? if so, that wouldnt affect her at all...

because she is too far left. there are still many undecided voters who would rather have someone who is willing to be more towards the middle. seems as if she has a solid base but not enough sway the undecideds. I could be wrong, I dont know.

she is the "middle" candidate if you ask me... (of all the major candidates on both sides in my opinion)

and that is why i am not voting for her...

i'm not so sure about that. she wants big government and an immediate withdrawal from Iraq (I think?)

Its not just republicans. i'm definitely not one of those, and i pretty much hate her as well. it has nothing to do with the fact she's a woman either. She's a phony bitch. Period. she simply isn't likable. Even she knows she cannot win a general election. She talks a great deal about experience. But really what experience does SHE really have? Being first lady? Besides its true that one cannot at once boast about their experience as a Washingtom insider, and pledge to be the agent that will change all that. She knows she probably will not even win the nomination which is wy she has resorted to mudslinging as a campaign platform. Its not just republicans that don't like her. Its a significant percentage of her own party and independant and undecided, on the fence voters as well, which is EXACTLY why she has zero chance in the general election. The hard core republicans who hate her so much will not be voting for ANY Democratic candidate regardless. Those aren't the winning votes she wont be getting. Its all those other folks that might vote Democrat but will not vote for HER. Alot of people really liked and trusted her husband. She's banking on that which is the only reason she's still married to the guy. It isn't going to work.

You are right about one thing. Mckey mouse could probably beat the republicans. Hilary, on the other hand, cannot.

  • I've heard a lot of arguments of why neither should be the candidate of choice. Most of the arguments center around not winning the general election due to a) being a female or b) being a person of color. Keep in mind I also live in Kentucky.

My thoughts on this are who gives a shit about either of those characteristics, the dems don't need the south to win. Let the south keep supporting Repubs, they're/me in KY are the ones getting fucked in this whole deal with Republicans. Fuck all they have to do to is keep what they won in the last election and win Ohio, my god if neither one of them can at least do that it's pitiful. I think if I won the primaries and put my name on the Dem ticket I could at least keep what was won in 04 and add Ohio. Jeez, I'm so tired of hearing that argument from people. If the south can't support either candidate so be it, we don't need their vote regardless. I do have a feeling Obama could easily win Georgia and South Carolina though.

BTW, I would prefer not have Hilary as president. Not a fan, sorry.

You don't have to worry about that. She won't win a general election. No way. As, i've said, it has nothing to do wth the fact that she's a woman. AS a matter of fact thats one thing she has in her favor, IMO. She just isn't likeable, or trustworthy. She is phoney baloney, plastic, politician. If the democratic party nominates her, they are shooting themselves in the foot...

    .

yeah, i've been saying she has no chance. she's unelectable.
  • I'm kinda surprised that Kucinich is supporting Obama. It seems Edwards is closer to his ideals. Even Nader said Edwards is the best front-runner.

I just home that she and Mitt Romney go down in flames... I expect a degree of phoneyness, pandering and sleaziness from my politicians, but those two take the cake. They would do or say anything that their advisers or focus groups suggest, no matter what it was.
