oh you get me wrong... i know its an Irish owned publication along with a multitude of others... my disbelief came from you actually claiming that the Independent has some balls BECAUSE it is Irish owned :D

It has balls because of the integrity of its journalists and its political fortitude... it has NOTHING to do with it being Irish owned... the vast majority of its writers, staff, lawyers, editors, whatevers are British.
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

yep, that's true... it's quite hard to find out what really IS Irish owned or whatever nowadays. Even guinness is feckin owned by Diageo

Dunk, yep, you keep on telling yourself that :p

They don't WANT nuclear weapons and never suggested they did  this is where this conversation gets carried away with itself.

He also said outright that he wanted to destroy Israel. When a president of a country comes out and says something like that i dont think they should be just left alone with their thoughts while we assume he is telling the truth when he says he doesnt want nuclear weapons.

Like any normal person i dont want unneccessary war and i hope there arent any attacks on Iran but i certainly think they should be monitored, and i think that some people's views like if some people have nuclear weapons then others should be allowed them as well is lacking in common sense.
People say im paranoid. Well, they dont say it, but i know that's what they are thinking.

eh... wasn't that 'wipe israel off the map' thing lost in translation?

Of COURSE any country with nuclear capabilities should be monitored... not JUST Iran. I don't think he's any nuttier than George Bush for example. and how IS it lacking common sense? Why SHOULD the US have them and not let anyone else? Cos THEY'RE so damn trustworthy? hahahahahahahaha... they seem to be the main country running around starting wars these days so how suddenly have they come to represent all things moral and all things good and righteous  but then again, once there's people falling for it, that's how it will always be.

by that rationale dunk, news limited is the way it is because of those who work there and it has zero to do with rupert murdoch. does that sound right to you?

i dont know about bonnie wee scotland, but i can recall an instance in australia where the owner of one of our tv stations pulled a show whilst it was in mid broadcast because he didnt approve of it. that tells me that employees need to be very weary of what the big kahuna likes and dislikes. and what he expects of his employees.

well in Wee Scotland the Independent is a serious newspaper run properly and with a deep moral integrity... it bears no relation to one of Murdochs playthings... but i seriously doubt the editor of The Independent had to run a story past the owner of The Independent to make sure it fits in with the owners viewpoint... that just wouldnt happen.

Helen was implying The Independent has balls as a newspaper purely because its owned by an Irish company... thats utter fucking bollocks and its symptomatic of Helen's holier than thou Irish posturing (which can get so wearisome)... It had balls before being financially rescued by this Irish company... and it was bought over by the Irish owner probably because it had some guts about it... not the other way round

  • Liberal Democrat voters are nothing more than rich, middle/upper class do-gooders who don't give a toss about the poor in this country. The Lib Dems have screwed up Islington good and proper, shutting down centres for the vunerable, making themselves the highest paid councillors in the country at the same time. No surprise as the Lib Dems are a right-wing party, hence their name coming from the word Libertarian (ie the right to not pay income tax and fuck the homeless). But hey, as long as the sandal wearing, muesli eating, laminate floor walking, rich do-gooders can say "I voted against the war that's all that matters" then they're happy in their beds at night. Enjoy your latte in starbucks.

Whilst we're at it, can you remind me of the name of the only country that has ever used nuclear weapons in the past? I've forgotten. I think it starts with a 'U'.

The economy has polarized to the point where the wealthiest 10% now own 85% of the nation’s wealth. Never before have the bottom 90% been so highly indebted, so dependent on the wealthy.

This is the typical response by a Republican/neo-con to any criticism of the Bush gang.
Anyone who criticizes Bush et al, obviously wants to see America destroyed by Allah, right?

Anyone with half a brain knows that artical is rubbish. I posted what he actually said, but you obviously choose to ignore.

You revert to insults because you actually have nothing to say.
