well, you could always take Topamax and the other myriad legal perscription migrane drugs that cost a fortune and ruin your insides.... modern medicine is freaking great isn't it?

I have two family members that qualify...one doesn't smoke, another just keeps forgetting to apply

In Canada, patients can designate a grower...for the last few years, it's been a one patient, one grower ratio. Last month, a federal judge ruled that this went against the charter...and each grower can supply multiple patients. I've been politely volunteering to help my fams out

...but don't want to be insensitive about their health problems.

Then again...Health Canada is appealing the ruling (WHY? fuckers!)...the patients involved in the initial case have cross-appealed to have the courts revise the ruling to include judicial monitoring of the government's control over access. Interesting.

I know plenty of people with a script. I was talking to a co-worker of mine about the fact that marijuana is addictive. I told her that it's not chemically addictive, but that habitually it is. She said, no, it's not. she said, "the hardest thing to give up when I found out I was pregnant was coffee, not pot. I will feel like an idiot, though, when I go to renew my prescription and I'm 7 months pregnant...."

damn it's been a long time...it's so great to see ya....well, does that make it all bad? and if it's addictive, then i truly think i could think of a lot of other addictions far more detrimental...

i have to look at the use of ganja from the perspectives of other cultures...have ya ever read anything about how rastafarians use the ganja for everything....

from pregnacy to letting the children ingest...now let's see....hmmm, if some jamaicans have been using the ganja for longer than even you or i have walked the planet; then why would i doubt practical application? (there was a great article discussing cannabis, pregnacy and jamaican culture in cannabis culutre a couple of years back)

i just can't imagine why such a vast opportunity in resource is road blocked at every source...

me and my wife were regular smoker untill she got pregnant with our future child. She says that the only thing she misses is really is the relaxing part of getting high but she really doesnt have any withdrawls or anything. We were talking the other day how MJ was the best reliever for her mestrual pains and so were discussing what could be more damiging to the baby during labor if we were to use any drugs at all. An epidural injection or a nice dose of weed. Of course we were joking but I think in reality the "joint" would probably be safer.

of course the canna butter can do the same as an epideral..i know when i had a biopsy, i smoked the hell out of some weed before i went in...and it calmed me; so they wouldn't stick the needle in my lungs...

you cannot tell medical practitioners you use cannabis, becasue now they will refuse your treatment (until you are clean) becasue of insurance purpose...

when someone brings in a concept of state vs federal...it always amazes me how in payroll taxes, a bookkeeper is to comply exclusively with their state employment laws and if there is no written law, then refer to federal statutes...

i can't understand why this doesn't pertain to medical marijuana....

it's the opposite rule of thumb...

well, i do really understand why though...becasue the benefits of ganja will compete and interfere with the pharmi industry...and here we think we are living in true capitalistic society....free enterprise and all..

*so, no i am not capping on the pharmi industry becasue there are many good benefits for humans....

Yes, I just had knee surgery 3 weeks ago (torn meniscus). I was prescribed vicodin but I only took 1 a couple of days after surgery and that was it. I'm not really a pill person so I smoked instead and it definitely helped mitigate the overall pain and discomfort.

MJ also helps calm nausea and upset stomachs. So many uses and benefits, just a shame there's no lobbying money in weed, otherwise it would've been legal a long ass time ago.

More money in pharmaceuticals... BUT I think the "war on drugs" is also a cover for "give us money and we'll let your shipment in"
