yeah, I agree 100%. how soon we al forget the fervor we had after 9/11, the patriotism, the courage to claim our rights to not be intimidated by terrorists, etc. now, we have all gotten fat, stupid and impatient because the war didn't end in the thirty minute sitcom time that most people can muster the attention for and nothing more.

No. Many knew the war was fucking retarded from the beginning. Unfortunately, TOO MANY were fat, stupid and impatient with false patriotism flowing in their veins and they wanted to go blow somebody up. Too bad it was the wrong people.

I questioned 9/11. Actually....I still do. I don't proclaim it's my mantra. I posted one...(one)...(that's one)...thread questioning a video of airplanes hoping to have a somewhat reasonable discussion about it,

hoping to have a discussion about a youtube video claiming NO PLANES hit the buildings? what type of discussion were you hoping for? the fact that you even gave it a second of credibility is when you lost all of yours.

So was my foresight. The Iraq war was wrong from the beginning.

Perhaps. There were some aspects that were worth discussing, not dealing with the planes themselves.

9/11 is a diversion whoever committed the crime. Like the JFK assassination, millions of people are wasting valuable time researching these issues when that energy could be better spent elsewhere...

Whoever was behind 9/11 doesn't really matter. What we need to focus on is how they have and how they are dealing with the situation.

Guiliani is just using it as a reason to elect him, like being mayor when the city was attacked has anything to do a presidency. If anything it should be a negative...you know, well they bombed the city when he was in charge, maybe we shouldn't vote for this guy.

really? who should we have blown up then?

or if the war was not the correct answer to the attack, perhaps closing our borders and not letting anyone from the middle east where our attackers were originally from come in here would be the right one?

racial profiling is a bad thing but the reality of life is that trust is earned and rights are null and void if they are clearly abused. like freedom of speech has just ran away with the whole notion and now the sensible people with the brains have to be quiet and aviod appearing "small minded" to their liberal pansy ass neighbors...........please....put a sock in it............

Well the facts are that there was not one hi-jacker involved in 9/11 from Iraq!!! The majority were in fact from Saudi Arabia. And your precious God loving Mr. Bush gave up on his chance to find Bin Laden by wasting resourses in Iraq. Invading Iraq was the worst foreign policy decision in American history!!! And the only Idiot that could possibly top that would be Rudy G.

Well in fact I do think I could do a better job than Bush. But at the age of 31 that's not going to happen. To sit back and not be critical of the government that is supposed to work in our interest would be unpatriotic. P.S. a monkey spinning a wheel of fortune could do a better job than Bush.

no, I don't and it's not about having a "blind" devosion to him and thinking that he is going to have all the right answers all of the time.

My 17 year old son , who mind you is bombarded with very liberal teachers and advisors with little moral fabric or backbone. So he sees both worlds; the people who disrespect him in public, to students mind you, how very weak of an adult; , he asks me "why do you like the President so much?" My answer was that I like that he has his convictions, which most of which I agree with and he is not concerned with his popularity but instead the state of the country and he is guided by the HolySpirit as to what to do; he's a very prayerful man and I trust that he has the backbone to mean what he says as well as stand up for our country and let other countries who are now threats or who may be threats that we are not cowards --we will fight for our country as any self respecting country would do. to back down would only allow more invasions that would possibly ruin life as we know and love it.

Bush is a holy man now?

    This is just absurdity.

    C'mon.

Tell me you don't really invest some great belief in Bush as being a man of serious devotion and faith?

    No fucking way!

well that's where you and I meet a HUGE gap here...........because I DO think that the president is working along with our government to bring us back to a country that would prefer peace but is not afraid of standing up to war. And no man or monkey can do a better job than Bush, sorry............And where you say sitting back and not being critical as unpatriotic, I see it the other way around. Criticizing the government --or anything for that matter--and not wanting to offer yourself out to help change what you can from the littlest need filled to the most time consuming thing possible is just bitching and when I find myself bitching I try to think of ways I might be of some help to the problem and if I don't know WHAT or HOW I could possibly change things for the better, then I tell the person that but offer my help should she want it. If you truly want to talk about patriotism, then we have to understand that becasue we live in a democracy, we have the freedom to attempt to change the things that get under our skin. Many people have gotten the government to rethink certain things and perhaps some good will come of it. But it has to be done with respect and it needs to stop criticizing and start making it clear that we all are affected by the world and we are here to help as well.

so we are in Iraq because why?

And yet like 17 hijackers on 911 came from Saudi Arabia.

So how come Bush is over kissing Saudi ass right now, and not threatening them over their state sponsored agression in 2001?

Hint: Both answers are one world, one syllable responses, that start with the letter O.

It's not like it's a secret. He found a deep faith as a young man and has found it sustained him through his life. If he is listening for the HolySpirit's convictions and living his life accordingly so, then yeah, i find that a very large trust of which for me can go no deeper.

THAT is the only thing that I would love to send him, a letter about. I have heard that same thing from others. And knowing he is an oil family, you gotta wonder.......because, correct me if I was misinformed (as I know you will) and tell me is it tru that we have enough oil in Alaska and Texas to be able to survive on US oil without needing theirs?

Are you being serious? No man can do a better job than bush right now? Am I reading that right? He is the worst leader of any country or nation in the history of the planet.
