    I have a high number 42X,XXX and I care not.....why.....because I was happy to be able to "FEEL" like I was on the inside of my favorite band buy doing so in purchasing my membership in Aug 08......yeah its all in my head...but Im okay with that.

    I have recieved no tickets or upgrades.....I have yet to buy them....but when I do...I wont care where the ticketsare are as long as Im there. And I will feel like a real member of my favorite bands crew. I admire reading the stories of the 10C members helping each other...enjoying together and educating each other because of a mutual respect of something that touches all those people in a similar way.

    I look forward to meeting some of the good people I encountered here so far...you know whom you are....and as time goes on there will be more...i look forward to that day....in all my 42X,XXX glory membership number.

    Can you see yourself with that viewpoint...if not...whats the issue.

    Is it always about what we get...or what someone else has or got....or is it about respect and support of something real?

    anyone think you should be able to trade or sell you Ten Club number like a personal seat license? I thought about that and I dont think it would be that great of an idea

    Yes- this is my viewpoint... I don't expect anyone to share this with me, but I felt that it was high time that I shared my feelings on the situation.

    So something real, eh? I hate to break the news to you, but being a 10c member does not automatically make you a "real" Pearl Jam fan.

    You in a small way are echoing what i was trying to say to you.

    Is your viewpoint the same as the one posted that you didnt like?

    do you think that as a 33 year old man...that by paying for a membership it made me a real fan? cmon now

    Its about looking at things bigger...its the people, the places the experinces. Its supporting a common feel....something real....not seats...not posters and not signatures or tshirts.

    i dont get it... what is it that he said that angered you? this being the internet and all, i dont think you can actually get what he was saying. i mean, i took it to be that he was kidding around. also, even if he WAS trying to be elitist, so what? you joining the club isn't going to magically change you into one and not being in the club isn't going to keep you from not being one either. being a 10c member is more about the camaraderie than anything else, sharing what you've got with other people. of course being a 10c member doesn't automatically make you more of a fan, but it does help others weed out the people who aren't, because someone who isn't really a fan isn't going to be in the club, am i right? who cares if theres dickwads in the club, theres dickwads outside of it too, so if you'd be happier getting singles/newsletters/tickets/10c only items, then just go for it, don't worry about the other people in the club :)
