    Sometimes the roughness of a recording adds something to it. My advice is....don't worry too much about polishing it.

    (Listen to Daniel Johnstons stuff if you need any inspiration. Especially 'Discovered/Covered', or 'Yip/Jump Music').


    Thanks, my friend! Even to be half as weird/spooky/kooky as Daniel Johnston is a great compliment. I'm pretty happy with my newer songs like Tide. I like them much better than a song like American Town. I have about five half-written songs that I've been working on in the last year or two. I've been progressing far too slow on them.

    I'm more worried about the quality of the songwriting than the quality of the sound, but I do appreciate good sound production.

    i like the new direction this thread is taking, and i don't remember if i was high in that picture or not. :D
