  • Roads get payed for by the tax built into the price on gasoline. 42cents per gallon.

Schools are payed for by property tax.

In all there are hundreds of forms of taxation. The income tax is just one.

Coincidentally started at the time that the Federal Reserve was started.

income tax does not pay for any public services. All it does is pay on the interest that is being accumulated on the national debt.

And what purpose does the money fuelling the national debt fill?
I'm not really savvy on american taxes, but some of your foreign policies are extremely costly :
    the war in iraq
aid given to some countries (such as Israel, Egypt for example)
upholding american interest on worlwide issues, economic or politic
    etc.
All these activities are supposed to be made in the interest of american people and are expensive, someone has to pay for that.

Schools are paid for by property tax in Illinois and Michigan, all this does is screw the farmers who own 98% of the land but aren't rich by any means and only have 2% of the kids in schools. In other states schools are funded mostly by income and sales taxes, and somewhat by property taxes.
Everything not forbidden is compulsory and eveything not compulsory is forbidden. You are free... free to do what the government says you can do.

you're right... 40% by state and 60% by local property taxes.

but in Illinois and Missouri (not Michigan) its about 90% local property taxes.

Yeah, I know. That's what I say to myself when you call me out on my stats and theories. ;) How's reading the 10 minute Ken Wilber article I sent two weeks back coming along, by the way?! ;)

that isnt gonna happen until spring break ;) like i said, my time is at a premium these days. most of your stats im just curious about, not so much challenging. im rarely demanding proof, more idle curiosity.
