He is still trying to make a connection between Saddam and Al Qaida dispite the fact that all the intel we have contradicts him.

    Whether the connection are enough to go to war, have to decide that for yourself. I'm sticking with the same "No" I went with in 03.

    Unfortunaltey certain parts of the book are outdated now, for example at that time Haliburton wasn't as successful as it is now, so that part dealing with their alleged profiteering doesn't stand anymore. But a lot of interesting info about what was said verses what has been relayed.

    Ther may have been some meetings and some money may have been exchanged but was the connection between individual Iraqis or the Iraqi government. As for the training camps, correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't they located in the northern Kurdish regions where Saddam had little to no control or influence. All signs point to the fact that Saddam's regime did not have strong ties to Al Qaida. The fact that are VP is still infereing that there was either shows that the man is completely misinformed or despite all the proof continues to lie to cover his ass.

    US ties to Iraq go a long ways back. US ties to Iraq put Saddam Hussein in power.

    Definetly not good buddies. Saddam loathed religious fanatics like Bin Laden because they where a direct threat to him. I'm sure there are people within Saddam's government who may have met with Al Qaida operatives and there may have been some exchange of funds but it was far from being a working partnership, as Cheney would tell you. Every intelligence report we have states that. This just goes to show you how much this administration will continue to distort the truth in order to push their agenda.
