He is still trying to make a connection between Saddam and Al Qaida dispite the fact that all the intel we have contradicts him.

"No Connection? Well, al Qaeda and the Iraqis certainly had a lof of meetings, money changed hands, some terrorist training seems to have occurred in Iraq.....In other words there are connections."

Minter, R. (2005). Disinformation. 97-124. Washington D.C: Regnery Publishing, Inc.

Whether the connection are enough to go to war, have to decide that for yourself. I'm sticking with the same "No" I went with in 03.

Unfortunaltey certain parts of the book are outdated now, for example at that time Haliburton wasn't as successful as it is now, so that part dealing with their alleged profiteering doesn't stand anymore. But a lot of interesting info about what was said verses what has been relayed.

Ther may have been some meetings and some money may have been exchanged but was the connection between individual Iraqis or the Iraqi government. As for the training camps, correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't they located in the northern Kurdish regions where Saddam had little to no control or influence. All signs point to the fact that Saddam's regime did not have strong ties to Al Qaida. The fact that are VP is still infereing that there was either shows that the man is completely misinformed or despite all the proof continues to lie to cover his ass.

Funny thing is, Usama Bin Laden is probably the most (in)famous man on the planet. Dick Cheney probably doesn't break the top 100 worldwide.

Yes. The US harbored all of the 9/11 "terrorists". Matter of fact, the US also gave them flight training.

US ties to Iraq go a long ways back. US ties to Iraq put Saddam Hussein in power.

Definetly not good buddies. Saddam loathed religious fanatics like Bin Laden because they where a direct threat to him. I'm sure there are people within Saddam's government who may have met with Al Qaida operatives and there may have been some exchange of funds but it was far from being a working partnership, as Cheney would tell you. Every intelligence report we have states that. This just goes to show you how much this administration will continue to distort the truth in order to push their agenda.

Happy Easter and by the way, Mr. Clinton also made reference to the same things you are bitching about with GW and the Dick, he just never started a war over it.

Happy Easter to you as well. Not that I'm defending Clinton but words are one thing. Send our troops to die is another.

send our troops to die w/o the proper equipment or even adequate protection, saying there's no $ yet there's $16 billion for halliburton in no-bid contracts and bonuses for feeding our troops spoiled meat, dirty water, charging us for meals they never even fed, work they never did, employees they never had....

Halibuton's assets should be immediately seized and liquidated back to the public.

It has been documented that some low level Al Qaida operatives did meet with some Iraqi officials a couple of times. There was also a training camp headed up by Ar Zarqawi in Iraq but it was in the Northern Kurdish regions which where far from Saddam's influence and prying eye. Our own intelligence agencies have stated as much but have also stated, on numerious occastions, that there was no substancial connection or relationship between Saddam and Al Qaida.

they do a lot of oil and energy work...they did work in iran, syria, iraq (including illegal oil for food deals) up until 2000 (notice cheney named 2 of em to the axis of evil, guess they are only evil after the check clears?)

now, in iraq, they do all sorts of things, many of which the military used to do but now we contract out...like operate the mess halls in iraq for our troops (they have been found to serve spoiled meat, dirty water not even filtering at some camps, double billing, charging for meals they never even serves...), transporting fuel (they also got in some truoble for this a year or 2 ago), work on the oil fields/lines....

according to yahoo finance when they were pushing for war haliburton's stock was at $10, up until a few months ago it was in the high $70's-80 range, a few months ago they had a 2:1 split and now their stock is in the mid-high $30's which keeps it at that same $70-80 range

I've seen videos of soldiers stating that after Haliburton's cleaning services washed their uniforms they felt dirtier than before they were washed. Must feel disgusting to wear sticky filthy clothes in that heat. Funny thing is GI's were getting in shit for washing their own uniforms, and they were told they must submit their uniforms for "washing" as no doubt Haliburton gets exorbitantly paid for each bag of laundry.

    Rediculous..
