can anybody send me a downloadable version of brother with lyrics, i am yet to hear it. i tried searching but i couldn't find anything/got lazy lol

    Ed's apparently somewhat to blame also. When they were doing lost dogs he didn't like the original lyrics so he had them removed.

    I like Brother both ways. I like the instrumental version better though because you can really hear stone and mike. The one with lyrics is less dynamic.

    why would you want it in FLAC instead of an mp3?

    Why it was released as an instrumental is baffling. Writing an instrumental is one thing, but simply removing the lyrics from a song originally intended to have them is really odd. It's enjoyable enough, I guess, but I'll always like the lyrical version. The Lost Dogs promo was a nice treat, it's great to have it in pristine quality.

    Because MP3 is a lossy audio, while FLAC is lossless.

    MP3 kind of downgrades the audio while FLAC keeps it as it was intended (Although a bigger file, while MP3 is much smaller)

    It's way better without lyrics. The version of Brother with lyrics, while not terrible is easily one of the worst songs in the PJ catalouge. There's no way that song makes it on Ten, it's way too ordinary.

    IMO the instrumental is dynamic.

    You know what song works great as an instrumental? Black. Check out the demo if you don't have it.

    They played this song once in 91 i think then the second was in calgary in 09. I was lucky enough to see it and it was awesome

    The original lyrics are on this board- you can hear them on the Ten rough mix. I don't think Ed was completely happy with them, and he probably kept playing around with them for years until he came up with what got released in the Ten redux. It's a brutal song either way, but the original version is so brutal, so dark...
