I haven't had good experience with Sony, granted I have only tried their low-end stuff...

Sony MDR-V6 or its professional counterpart MDR-7056 are both excellent. I'm not sure if the V6s are made anymore, but the 7056 are. I also like the Senheiser PX-100. All three are reasonable priced.

  • I have cheap $20 Sony headphones and they work just fine. Good noise cancellation, good sound. Best $20 I ever spent!

  • I love my Shure E4s. The key with these (as well as most of the in-ear headphones) is getting a good seal. These came with several different tips and foams that you can try. You can even get custom molds made that will obviously fit you perfectly. Now, as with any inear, they are not going to have the same response as a full size set of headphones. But for listening to an Ipod all day, they're great.
What ain't a country I ever heard of. Do they speak English in what?
