    Is it really true that half of them won't even work? Allegedly, Sony made a statement that many of the PS3's shipped defective.

    Crazy times. I'm almost glad that I never really got into video games that much.

    That is very true. I'm a PC gamer myself. However the Cell processor out performs any PC chip on the market. Being that it was devleoped by Sony, Toshiba and IBM we should see Cell processors in various electronic equipment in the near future. It wouldn't be any suprise to me if Intel and AMD came up with similar multi-core processors, but as it stands the Cell is only capable of specific functions, with portions dedicated to specific calculations, such as physics.

    The RSX video technology NVidia devloped for the PS3 will be available to PC gamers pretty soon, I would think.

    None of this matters to me because I'm still running a P4 1.2 Ghz with a GeForce MX 440. I could pick up a PC for a couple hundred bucks and still be better off then I am now.
