Since we usually post controversial topics on here that spiral towards childish bickering I thought a feel good piece was far over due.

if only everyone could adopt this philosophy the world would be a much better place...

I know those drainage chanels are not that big, at least the one's I've seen. That took some serious balls man. They where saying on the radio this morning that the MTA should give this guy a lifetime metro card for his actions. That is the least they could do for this guy.

And people have the nerve to call NYers rude and unfriendly.

  • That was some quick thinking and a previous poster was right...that took balls!
    The wind is blowing cold
Have we lost our way tonight?
Have we lost our hope to sorrow?

    Feels like were all alone
    Running further from what’s right
And there are no more heroes to follow

    So what are we becoming?
    Where did we go wrong?

Crazy... I don't know what I would've done in that situation. Always makes you wonder.

I admit it...I would probably not have done the same. I would have tried to pull him up and if I was going to be too late, have saved myself by letting go (since he was doomed anyway). I probably would never have thought to do what this guy did and even if i had, would probably not have had the balls to do it.

And I think very few people would have pulled this off. Good story and very impressive thinking and "balls" by this guy. Yeah, the lifetime MTA pass seems reasonable to me.
I cannot come up with a new sig till I get this egg off my face.

I was just there last week, I rode the E train up and down Manhattan. Everyone I came in contact with was very nice to us.

I've found that those kinds of comments are generally because there is a communication dissonance and or a misunderstanding.

There's a homeless drag queen walking around in NYC with one slip one heeled shoe right now.

That's right so it probably was a rat. Right about now the 2nd or 3rd litter of rat pups is nestling in that shoe.

oh poor shoe. that's the first thing i thought of when i heard this story--i was hoping there weren't rats all over these two guys. although the rats probably scattered at the approach of the train if there were any at all. and they weren't at herald sq. they're so bad there. the other week i was waiting for the train and one came on the platform. jesus.

  • YAY for humans!

soooo today I was talking to my co-workers about the lack of human respect/love for one another and so on that is prevalent today--then I read this story when I signed on to check mail -- called my co-worker told her the wonderful story and how the powers that be shut me up :)

Unfortunate for the Tacoma students, but there is hope.
  • rats at Rock Ctr go up the staircase along with you.
